BRADLEY, DEKALB, HAMILTON, MARION, POLK, PUTNAM, RHEA, AND WHITE COUNTY the random on-call attenuator repairs on various Interstate and State Routes.:  No restrictions planned for 2/8-2/14.  Estimated project completion date is June 2018.

BRADLEY, GRUNDY, HAMILTON, MARION, PUTNAM, SEQUATCHIE, AND WHITE COUNTIES sweeping and drain cleaning on various Interstates and State Routes:  There will be mobile lane closures to support sweeping operations on regional interstates and state routes. Estimated project completion date is February 2019.

CLAY COUNTY SR-52 slope repair at log mile 12.5: TDOT maintenance forces are repairing a slope failure on SR-52 in Moss. The road is one lane and traffic flow is controlled by a signal. TDOT Maintenance forces have stabilized the slide and are working with the local utility company to relocate a line once weather permits. The contractor for the utility company is expected on site next week to relocate the water line. Once this is completed, TDOT forces will complete the slide repair. Both lanes should be open to traffic by February 28, 2018.  Estimated project completion date is February 2018.

COFFEE COUNTY U.S. 41 (S.R. 2) resurfacing from Hillsboro Blvd. from east of Hendrixson Drive to the bridge over I-24: No work progress due to the winter season. Work will resume as weather permits. Estimated project completion date is May 2018.

CUMBERLAND COUNTY I-40 West near MM 326, construction of a truck climbing lane, including grading, drainage, construction of retaining walls and paving: The right shoulder will be closed for the duration of the project as grade work activities are in progress constructing the truck lane and outside shoulder. Base stone and underdrains have been installed. Contractor has submitted a cool weather paving plan for A-S and A mixes as conditions will allow. Both retaining walls are complete.  Estimated project completion date is June 2018.

CUMBERLAND COUNTY SR-101 (Peavine Road) grading, drainage, and paving from Firetower Road to Westchester/Catoosa Boulevard: Traffic control and erosion control measures are installed. Storm drain installation, box culvert construction, utility relocation, and grade work activities are in progress. Temporary lane closures and traffic stoppages may be needed to support grade work activities. Motorists should be alert for construction personnel and equipment along SR-101 Peavine Road. Estimated project completion date is November 2020.

GRUNDY COUNTY SR-56 bridge repair over Pepper Hollow Branch (LM 31.24): Traffic reduced to one lane across bridge. RESTRICTIONS: Traffic is reduced to one lane across bridge. No wide loads. Estimated project completion date is April 2018.

HAMILTON COUNTY I-75 North Exit 1 interchange reconfiguration project at mile marker 1: Work on this project continues. The project will result in a reconfiguration of the exit ramps and will combine both northbound exits (1A & 1B) into one, which will allow drivers to turn both east and west on Ringgold Road at a signalized intersection. Traffic has been shifted onto the newly constructed portion of Camp Jordan Pkwy., and the intersection (I-75 NB off-ramp and SR-8/Camp Jordan Pkwy.) is now controlled by a new traffic signal. Estimated project completion date is May 2018.

HAMILTON COUNTY U.S. 27 (I-124) widening from I-24/U.S. 27 interchange to north of the Olgiati Bridge over the Tennessee River, including widening the Olgiati Bridge: Work on this project continues. The contractor has closed the 12th Street tie-in ramp to U.S. 27 South. This closure will be in place until April 2018. Traffic from 12th Street will be detoured to Carter Street and then to Westbound MLK where motorists may access the U.S. 27 South on-ramp. Detours are posted. Motorists should exercise caution when traveling through the construction zone and pay close attention to the detour signage posted. New ramp configurations were implemented on the northbound lanes of US 27 between MLK Blvd. and Fourth Street. These changes affected the on-ramp to U.S. 27 North from MLK Blvd., and the off-ramp (Exit 1C) from U.S. 27 North to 4th Street. Traffic coming from downtown Chattanooga and using the on-ramp to U.S. 27 North from MLK Blvd. is now required to come to a complete stop at the top of the ramp. Traffic wishing to access 4th Street at Exit 1C from U.S. 27 North is now directed to a new temporary exit ramp before crossing the 6th Street overpass. This new temporary exit ramp is narrow and posted for 15 MPH. This new traffic pattern will be in place for approximately two weeks. Motorists are encouraged to seek alternate routes due to the increased congestion between MLK Blvd. and 4th Street. The speed limit has also been reduced from 45 MPH to 35 MPH between Main Street and 4th Street on U.S. 27 North. The speed limit on U.S. 27 in the rest of the construction zone remains 45 MPH. Motorists should exercise caution when traveling through the construction zone and pay close attention to the signage posted. On Monday February 12, 2018, the contractor will implement a nighttime temporary right lane closure on Northbound US27 from I-24 to the Olgiati Bridge from 7PM to 6AM. During this time, the Northbound US27 off-ramp to Carter Street (Exit 1A) will be temporarily closed, and traffic will be detoured using the NB US27 off-ramp to MLK Blvd. On the same night, there will also be a temporary double left lane closure on Southbound US27, crossing the Olgiati Bridge, and then transitioning to a single left lane closure from 4th Street to I-24. Weather permitting, the contractor may implement temporary lane/shoulder closures on weeknights between the hours of 7PM and 6AM. At least one lane will remain open in each direction on U.S. 27. THP will assist with traffic control on the project as necessary. RESTRICTIONS: I 124 (US-27) Northbound Exit 1C 4th Street Off Ramp. No oversize/over-dimensional loads. Width Limit is 11 feet. Estimated project completion date is January 2020.

HAMILTON COUNTY U.S. 11 (SR-2/(Brainerd Road) TDOT Coring Operation: TDOT Materials & Tests crews will conduct a coring operation on Brainerd Road between Moore Rd. and Airport Rd. on Monday, February 12, 2018 between 9PM and 6AM in preparation for an upcoming resurfacing project. This will involve a mobile operation with some temporary lane closures.

HAMILTON COUNTY SR-153/SR-319 (Hixson Pike) bridge repair on Hixson Pike over SR-153: The contractor will implement lane closures for SR-153 during non-peak hours (9AM to 3PM) beginning Monday 2/5 thru Friday 2/9. There will also be possible lane closures on Hixson Pike for the period from 2/5 to 2/9. These lane closures will not be restricted to non-peak hours. Estimated project completion date is February 2018.

HAMILTON COUNTY SR-320 (East Brainerd Road) grading, drainage, installation of signals, construction of seven retaining walls and paving from east of Graysville Road to east of Bel-Air Road: During this report period, the contractor will have intermittent lane closures between 9AM-2PM. This work may affect either direction of East Brainerd Road or side streets from Graysville Road to Bel-Air Road. Flaggers will assist with traffic control as needed.  Estimated project completion date is June 2018.

HAMILTON COUNTY U.S. 11 (SR-2/Brainerd Rd.) resurfacing from McCallie Tunnel (LM 11.83) to east of Moore Rd. (LM 13.85): During this report period, the contractor will have intermittent lane closures between 6AM-4PM Monday thru Friday. The contractor will be adjusting manholes and installing striping. At least one travel lane will remain open to traffic at all times. This work may affect either direction of Brainerd Road or side streets from Moore Rd. to the McCallie tunnel. Flaggers will assist with traffic control as needed.  Estimated project completion date is February 2018.

MCMINN COUNTY SR-30, grading, drainage and paving on S.R. 30 from Jackson Street to east of Knight Road in Athens: Work on this project continues. This project will upgrade SR-30 from a four-lane lane divided roadway to a five-lane urban-type roadway (two lanes in each direction with continuous center turn lane) and include curb, gutter and ADA-compliant sidewalks on both sides throughout the project area. The contractor has implemented the first phase traffic shift. The eastbound lanes are closed to traffic, and all traffic is using the existing westbound lanes, which have been marked and signed as a two-lane undivided highway from east of Jackson Street to east of Knight Road. Crossovers to businesses are reduced, but all businesses remain accessible. The first phase traffic shift is estimated to remain in effect through January 2019.  Estimated project completion date is October 2019.

MCMINN COUNTY I-75 resurfacing from near mile marker 39 to the SR-30 bridge near mile marker 49: Project is complete except for punchlist items that will be done in the Spring.  Estimated project completion date is February 2018.

OVERTON COUNTY SR-52 grading, drainage, signals and paving from near Oakley-Allons Road (LM 6.58) to DR-111 (LM 10.23): J&M is waiting on adequate weather for Rogers Group to complete paving on project. Motorists should use caution and be alert to construction equipment and vehicles within the work zone. The speed limit has been reduced to 45 MPH and is being enforced. Estimated project completion date is July 2018.

POLK COUNTY U.S. 64 (SR-40) construction of a concrete bulb-tee beam bridge over Branch and TOHA Old Line railroad (LM 24.85), including grading, drainage and paving: There will be intermittent lane closures as the contractor works to cut the embankment for the retaining wall. Due to safety concerns at the intersection of Pinecrest Road and US 64, Pinecrest Road intersection has been closed. There are posted detour signs for residents to get to their homes on Pinecrest Road. This road will be closed during the duration of the construction of the Retaining Wall on US 64. Estimated project completion date is May 2019.

POLK COUNTY U.S. 64 (SR-40) from mm 13 to mm 17: TDOT crews are in the process of removing and replacing 15 deteriorating cross drains on U.S. 64 in Polk County between log miles 13 and 17. During this report period, they are scheduled to replace pipes 6 - 8 out of 15, weather permitting. This work will take place between 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. EST on weekdays and will require intermittent lane closures as the work progresses. This work is being performed ahead of a resurfacing project on U.S. 64 that is scheduled to begin this spring. This four-mile section of U.S. 64 is in the Ocoee River Gorge and the work will affect traffic coming to and from the Copper Basin area. Log mile 13 is located adjacent to the commercial take out at Caney Creek and log mile 17 is a half-mile west of the Ocoee 2 Dam/Rogers Branch River Access. After the cross drains have been replaced, the riding surface will be rougher than before. Crews will monitor and mitigate these areas until the resurfacing project begins this spring.  Estimated project completion date is March 2018.

PUTNAM COUNTY I-40 grading, drainage, construction of two concrete Bulb-Tee beam bridges, signals and paving at Mine Lick Creek Road (MM 283/LM 15.56) and construction of a State Industrial Access Road (Mine Lick Creek Road) serving Project Victor, including grading, drainage and paving: Work on this project continues. The bridge at Exit 283 is currently open for Phase 1 traffic, allowing one lane of travel in each direction. Phase 2 of the bridge is currently closed with flexible drums and barricades. When exiting 283 westbound, the motoring public is able to access the intersection of Hawkins Crawford/Mine Lick Creek Road. The contractor is currently working to bring the southbound Phase 2 grading work to proper elevation. Following will be the placement of base stone and asphalt binder mixes. Texture coating and pressure washing operations on the bridge have been postponed due to temperatures. The contractor will have temporary lane closures on the SIA/Academy Road to complete installation of the cross drains at various locations including Mike Maxwell Road and Heartland Lane followed by the installation of side drains during this period. The contractor completed grinding on the eastbound off ramp today and replaced the temporary pavement markings. Motorists are advised to observe the posted speed limits when entering the work zone and be alert to construction personnel, equipment and vehicles. Flaggers will be present to assist with traffic control. Estimated project completion date is April 2018.

RHEA COUNTY SR-302 bridge repair over Clear Creek (LM 2.57): There could be lane closures, supported by a flagging operation, beginning Monday, 2/5/2018 & ongoing until further notice. This is necessary to complete punch list activity. Estimated project completion date is February 2018.

WARREN COUNTY SR-288 construction of a concrete Bulb-Tee beam bridge over Collins River (LM 4.97), including grading, drainage and paving: Work on this project continues, Work on Pier #2 is ongoing. The bridge is currently reduced to one 12-ft. lane to allow the contractor to construct the new bridge. While the bridge is down to one lane, traffic will be maintained and controlled by a temporary signal for the safety of the traveling public. Motorists should expect periodic delays and use caution in the work zone. RESTRICTIONS: One lane bridge. Lane width 12 feet. Estimated project completion date is October 2018.

REGION 2 TDOT Maintenance Pothole Repair and Pavement Patching: There will be possible short-term emergency lane closures at various locations in Region 2 in order to repair potholes and patch pavement on an as-needed basis. Depending on location and severity these repairs may be done during the day or at night. In addition to performing the work, regional Operations crews will also provide traffic control.

REGION 2 on-call guardrail repair on various interstate and state routes: The contractor may have short term shoulder and/or lane closures in order to perform guardrail repair. These closures will take place on the interstate nightly from Sunday at 6:00 P.M. to Friday at 6:00 A.M. and daily on State Routes. At least one travel lane will remain open to traffic at all times on the Interstate, and flaggers will be present on State Routes during any work that is performed. Estimated project completion date is June 2018.

HAMILTON - CNP230: I 124 (US-27) Northbound Exit 1C 4th Street Off Ramp. No oversize/over-dimensional loads. Width Limit is 11 feet.

WARREN - CNQ270: One lane bridge. Lane width 12 feet.

Motorists are encouraged to use caution and obey reduced speed limits in all TDOT work zones, regardless of lane closure activity.
