Wednesday, April 25, through Wednesday, May 2:
Motorists should watch for trucks entering and exiting the roadway in a construction zone. *Speed limit is reduced to 60 MPH.
Saturday, April 28, and Sunday, April 29, 5:00 a.m-9:00 p.m.: Traffic will be reduced to one lane on I-40 in the westbound lane, from MM 135.0 -131.0 for paving.

Beginning Saturday, April 21, 2018, ramp work will include a lane shift on the westbound ramp.

BENTON COUNTY, I-40 near Tennessee River Bridge MM 133.0-134.0
Wednesday, April 25, 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.:
There will be temporary lane closures on I-40 westbound for routine bridge inspection. Weather permitting.

CARROLL COUNTY, SR 104: The grading, drainage, paving and construction of a bridge on SR 104 over Mill Creek. Roadway is CLOSED for duration of project.

CARROLL COUNTY, SR 423: The grading, drainage, construction of a concrete I-beam bridge on SR 423 over Clear Creek. Motorists should watch for trucks entering and exiting the roadway.
Restrictions: Monday, February 12,
a traffic signal system is being utilized. Traffic is reduced to one lane in with a 10’ lane restriction.

DYER COUNTY, SR-3/US-51: Repair of bridges over South Fork Forked Deer River. Motorists should watch for trucks entering and exiting the roadway in a construction zone.

DYER COUNTY, SR-20 (US 412): Repair of bridges over North Fork Forked Deer River.
Restrictions: Traffic is reduced to one lane in each direction with a 12’ lane restriction.

*Speed limit has been reduced to 55 MPH.

DYER COUNTY, SR-20 (US 412): Repair of bridges over Lewis Creek. Motorists should watch for trucks entering and exiting the roadway.

HENRY COUNTY, SR-54: The grading, drainage, construction of bridges, retaining wall and paving on SR 54 from near Rison Street to near Smith Road. Motorists should watch for trucks entering and exiting the roadway. *Speed limit has been reduced to 35MPH.

LAKE COUNTY, SR-78: Construction of a concrete Bulb-Tee bridge on SR 78 over drainage ditch including grading, drainage, and paving will cause possible lane closures throughout the project.

Restrictions: Beginning Tuesday, August 1 through November 30, 2018, a traffic signal system is being utilized. Traffic is reduced to one lane in each direction with a 9’ lane restriction.

OBION COUNTY, Future I-69: Grading, drainage, construction of eight bridges on future I-69 from south of US 51 (SR 3) to south of US 45W (SR 5) will cause possible lane closures throughout the project. *Speed limit is reduced to 45 MPH through the US 51 (SR 3) portion of the project. The inside southbound lane on SR 3 is closed to all traffic for installation of barrier rail.

Restrictions: Tuesday, June 13, 2017 SR 3 has a lane shift in the north and southbound directions. Traffic is reduced to one lane in each direction with a 11’ 6” lane restriction.

OBION COUNTY, SR-5: Installation of signals on US-45W (SR 5) at the intersection of Jackson Street in Union City.

District 48 - West TN – Middle/Southern

CROCKETT COUNTY, SR 76: The grading, drainage, paving and construction of bridges on SR 76 over Cypress Creek and overflow. Beginning February 7, 2018, temporary signals will be utilized.

Restriction: There will be a 11’ width restriction in place. Traffic reduced to one lane.

DECATUR COUNTY, SR 69:  Beginning February 7, 2018 there will be a lane closure on SR 69 to repair the bridge over Lick Creek. Temporary signals will be in use.

Restriction: There will be a 12’ width restriction in place.

DECATUR COUNTY, SR 20 (US 412): The repair of a bridge on US 412 (SR 20) over the Tennessee River.

FAYETTE COUNTY, I-40: The grading, drainage, construction of a concrete bulb-tee bridge and paving on I-40 at the SR 196 (Hickory Withe Road) interchange. Motorists should watch for trucks entering and exiting the roadway.

Friday, April 27, 8:00 p.m. through Monday, April 30, 6:00 a.m.: Traffic will be reduced to one lane on I-40 in both the east and westbound directions, from MM 27.0-MM 31.0. I-40 eastbound traffic will then be shifted to the westbound lanes in the crossover areas. This will allow the contractor to set beams over the eastbound lanes. The speed limit has been reduced to 60MPH and the width restriction will be 16’. THP will assist with traffic control during this operation. Weather Permitting.

Tuesday, May 1, 8:00 p.m.-6:00 a.m.: There will be a temporary closure on I-40 west bound in the outside lane between MM 27.0-MM 31.0 for installation of temporary barrier rail. Weather Permitting.

LOOK AHEAD:

Friday, May 4, 8:00 p.m. through Monday, May 7, 6:00 a.m.: Traffic will be reduced to one lane on I-40 in each direction from MM 27.0-MM 31.0. Traffic will then be shifted using median crossovers for construction of the new SR 196 bridge. Speed limit will be reduced to 60MPH and the width restriction will be 16’. Weather Permitting.

Friday, May 11, 8:00 p.m. through Monday, May 14, 6:00a.m.: Traffic will be reduced to one lane on I-40 in each direction from MM 27.0-MM 31.0. Traffic will then be shifted using median crossovers for construction of the new SR 196 bridge. Speed limit will be reduced to 60MPH and the width restriction will be 16’. Weather Permitting.

HARDEMAN COUNTY, SR-100: The improvement of the intersection on SR 100 at the intersection of SR 138 (LM 11.74) in Toone. Includes grading, drainage, and paving.

HARDIN COUNTY, SR-128: A widening project on SR 128 from South of Opel Loop to US-64 (SR 15) in Savannah will cause possible lane closures throughout the project. Motorists should watch for trucks entering and exiting the roadway from the construction zones and also crossing the roadways.

HARDIN COUNTY, SR-128:  The grading, drainage, and paving on SR 128 from south of One Stop Drive to south of Opel Loop. Motorists should watch for trucks entering and exiting the roadway from the construction zones and also crossing the roadways

HAYWOOD COUNTY-SR-19 (Brownsville Bypass): A widening project on SR 19 from west of Windrow Road to SR 76 south of Brownsville will cause possible lane closures throughout the project. Motorists should watch for trucks entering and exiting the roadway from the construction zones and also crossing the roadways.

HAYWOOD COUNTY–SR-76: Construction of a concrete bulb tee beam bridge over the Hatchie River – Wednesday, May 3, 2017 SR 76 CLOSED approx. 1 mile south of the I-40/Exit 56 interchange for removal of the truss bridge. *Local traffic will have access up to the bridge. An interstate detour will be posted at Exit 56 and Exit 52 (Stanton/KoKo Road).

MADISON COUNTY, SR-186 (US45 Bypass) and I-40: Interchange improvements on SR 186 (US 45) north and southbound from the I-40 ramps (LM 2.83) to Old Hickory Blvd (LM 3.33) for paving and construction of retaining walls.  Widening of I-40 from just east of Exit 79 to just east of Exit 82.

Saturday, April 28, 5:00 a.m.-9:00 p.m.:

·         Close and detour I-40 westbound onto existing ramps at Exit 80 (US45 Bypass). I-40 eastbound lanes will be OPEN.

·         Close and detour US45 Bypass north and southbound at interchange to allow for steel erection of the US45 By-Pass bridge over the interstate. Northbound traffic will have access to I-40 eastbound.

FAYETTE COUNTY, US 70 (US 79, SR-1): A bridge repair project on SR 1 over branch will result in lane closures in both directions daily.

FAYETTE COUNTY, SR-59 over I-40: A bridge repair project on US-70 (SR 79, SR 1) over branch and on SR 59 over I-40.

LAUDERDALE COUNTY, Slope Repair (Maintenance):

Thursday, April 26 and Friday, April 27, 9:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m.: SR 3 (HWY 51) northbound outside lane will be CLOSED beginning at MM 19.50 (near HWY 88 east) through MM 20.50 to allow for slope repair.  Weather Permitting.

SHELBY COUNTY, I-40 at Exit 1 to Exit 1A: A bridge repair project will cause possible lane closures on I-40 over the Mississippi River and 5 bridges over Wolf River, various ramps and city streets and railroad.

Saturday, April 28, 5:00 a.m. through Monday, April 30, 5:00 a.m.: The (2) two inside lanes on

I-40 westbound will be CLOSED beginning at approximately MM 1.60 (Near Danny Thomas Exit 1B) through MM 0.60 for repairs to the bridge over Second and Third Street. The traffic will be reduced to one lane, so expect traffic delays. One lane will remain open. Weather Permitting.

SHELBY COUNTY, The resurfacing on I-40 from the Wolf River (LM 9.56) to east of the CSX overpass (LM 11.74):

Sunday, April 29, through Thursday, May 3, 8:00 p.m.-6:00 a.m.: INTERMITTENT lane closures on I-40 east and westbound from Wolf River (LM 9.56) to east of the CSX overpass (LM 11.74) to perform the contracted resurfacing work. One lane will be open in each direction. Weather permitting.

Thursday, April 26, 9:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m.: CLOSE I-40 eastbound outside lane beginning at

SHELBY COUNTY, I-240 MemFix 4: Replacement of Norfolk Southern, SR-57 east and westbound bridges, and repair of Park Avenue bridge over I-240.

 

Park Avenue has one lane CLOSED in each direction on Park Avenue Bridge.

I-240: There are shoulder closures in both directions of I-240 east/west between Quince and Walnut Grove. The lane closures along I-240 east and westbound between Quince and Walnut Grove will stay in place throughout the project.

Saturday, April 28, 10:00 a.m.-8:00 p.m.: There will be lane closures on I-240 eastbound beginning prior to the I-240 EB “On” ramp from SR 385 eastbound to the Poplar Ave. westbound overpass for a new traffic shift. Two lanes on I-240 Eastbound will remain open during this time. The exit ramp to Poplar Ave. will be CLOSED. Detours will be provided. THP will assist with traffic control. Weather prohibiting, closures will be moved to Sunday, April 29.

Saturday, April 28, 8:00 p.m. through Sunday, April 29, 6:00 a.m.: There will be lane closures on I-240 eastbound beginning prior to the I-240 EB “On” ramp from SR 385 eastbound to the Poplar Ave. westbound overpass to complete the new traffic shift. One lane on I-240 Eastbound will remain open during this time. The exit ramp to Poplar Ave. will be CLOSED. Detours will be provided. THP will assist with traffic control. Weather prohibiting, closures will be moved to Sunday, April 29.

SHELBY COUNTY, Eastmoreland over I-240 (LM 0.36) and on U.S. 51 (SR 3) over the Wolf River (L.M. 15.25): Bridge repair will cause possible lane closures throughout the project.

Wednesday, April 25 until Mid-Summer:  There will be INTERMITTENT lane closures on US-51 (SR-3) at the Wolf River (LM-15.25) to perform the contracted bridge deck repair work. Weather Permitting.

Wednesday, April 25 until Mid-Summer:  The bridge over I-240 at LM-0.36 (Eastmoreland Avenue) will be CLOSED to perform the contracted bridge deck repair work.  Detour will be provided.  Weather permitting.

Friday, April 27, 8:00 p.m. through Monday, April 30, 6:00 a.m.: I-55 north and southbound between MM 10.40 and MM 11.40 the outside lanes will have INTERMITTENT lane closures to complete bridge work at Riverside Dr. inside lanes will remain open. Weather Permitting.

SHELBY COUNTY, SR-1: Construction of a welded steel plate girder bridge on SR 1 over the Loosahatchie River will cause possible lane closures throughout the project.

SHELBY COUNTY, SR-14 (Austin Peay Hwy): Construction on SR 14 for a widening project from

SR 204 (Singleton Parkway) to east of Old Covington Pike. Shoulders are closed north and southbound. There will be possible temporary lane closures throughout the project.

On April 21, 2017, Old Covington Pike East access to/from SR 14 was permanently CLOSED.

*Speed limit has been reduced to 45 MPH.

SHELBY COUNTY, SR-14: The grading, drainage, construction of concrete Bulb-Tee and I-beam bridges, signals and paving on SR 14 from east of Old Covington Pike to SR 385 will cause possible lane closures throughout the project. *Speed limit has been reduced to 45 MPH.

Wednesday, April 25 through Thursday, May 3, 8:00 p.m.–5:00 a.m.: There will be night time closures at the following various locations to install new overhead signs and new guardrail terminals. If weather prohibits, the repairs will be performed on the next available night. THP will assist with traffic control during night time closures. Weather Permitting. 

·         SR 385 (I-269) north and southbound, MM 0.00 – MM 19.80; various locations; One lane will be CLOSED.

·         I-40 east and westbound, MM 23.00 – MM 27.40 east and westbound, various locations; One lane will be CLOSED.

·         I-40 east and westbound EXIT 24 A-B (Airline Road and I-269): One lane will be CLOSED.

SHELBY COUNTY, SR-385: A bridge repair project on (SR 385) over Long Rd. (LM 10.48 and

Wednesday, April 25, until Mid-Summer: SR 385 east and westbound MM 9.80 through MM 11.20 the left lane in each direction will be CLOSED, to complete bridge work at Long Road. *Speed limit has been reduced to 45MPH.

Restrictions: Traffic is reduced to one lane in each direction with a 12’ lane restriction and lane shift.
