District 47 - West TN - Northern
BENTON COUNTY, I-40 Truck Climbing Lane:
Wednesday, May 16, through Wednesday, May 23: Motorists should watch for trucks entering and exiting the roadway in a construction zone. *Speed limit is reduced to 60 MPH.
Thursday, May 17, 8:00 p.m.–6:00 a.m.: Traffic will be reduced to one lane on I-40 in the westbound lane, from MM 135.0-131.0 for paving.

Friday, May 18, 8:00 p.m.-12:00 p.m. and Saturday, May 19, 8:00 p.m.–12:00 p.m.: Traffic will be reduced to one lane on I-40 in the westbound lane, from MM 135.0-131.0 for paving.

Monday, May 21, through Thursday, May 24, 8:00 p.m.–6:00 a.m.: Traffic will be reduced to one lane on I-40 in the westbound lane, from MM 135.0-131.0 for paving.

CARROLL COUNTY, SR 104: The grading, drainage, paving and construction of a bridge on SR 104 over Grassy Hollow Creek. Roadway is CLOSED for duration of project.

CARROLL COUNTY, SR 423: The grading, drainage, construction of a concrete I-beam bridge on SR 423 over Clear Creek. Motorists should watch for trucks entering and exiting the roadway.

Restrictions: Monday, February 12, a traffic signal system is being utilized. Traffic is reduced to one lane in with a 10’ lane restriction.

DYER COUNTY, SR-3/US-51: Repair of bridges over South Fork Forked Deer River. Motorists should watch for trucks entering and exiting the roadway in a construction zone. Traffic will be reduced to one lane on US 51 (SR 3) in both north and southbound directions, from LM 24.73 to LM 25.00 in Lauderdale County and LM 0.00 to LM 0.40 in Dyer County. SR-3/US-51 northbound traffic will then be shifted to the southbound lanes in the crossover areas. *Speed limit is reduced to 45 MPH through the US 51 portion of the project.
Restrictions: There is a 12’ 10” lane restriction.

DYER COUNTY, SR-20 (US 412): Repair of bridges over North Fork Forked Deer River. *Speed limit has been reduced to 55 MPH.

Restrictions: Traffic is reduced to one lane in each direction with a 12’ lane restriction.

DYER COUNTY, SR-20 (US 412): Repair of bridges over Lewis Creek. Motorists should watch for trucks entering and exiting the roadway.

Monday, May 7, SR 20 was shifted into the westbound direction from LM 2.16 to LM 2.74 for bridge repair. Construction signs and message boards are in use.
Restrictions: Traffic is reduced to one lane in each direction with a 12’ lane restriction.

HENRY COUNTY, SR-54: The grading, drainage, construction of bridges, retaining wall and paving on SR 54 from near Rison Street to near Smith Road. Motorists should watch for trucks entering and exiting the roadway. *Speed limit has been reduced to 35MPH.

LAKE COUNTY, SR-78: Construction of a concrete Bulb-Tee bridge on SR 78 over drainage ditch including grading, drainage, and paving will cause possible lane closures throughout the project.

Restrictions: Tuesday, August 1, 2017 through November 30, 2018, a traffic signal system is being utilized. Traffic is reduced to one lane in each direction with a 9’ lane restriction.

OBION COUNTY, Future I-69: Grading, drainage, construction of eight bridges on future I-69 from south of US 51 (SR 3) to south of US 45W (SR 5) will cause possible lane closures throughout the project. *Speed limit is reduced to 45 MPH through the US 51 (SR 3) portion of the project. The inside southbound lane on SR 3 is closed to all traffic for installation of barrier rail.

Restrictions: Tuesday, June 13, 2017 SR 3 has a lane shift in the north and southbound directions. Traffic is reduced to one lane in each direction with a 11’ 6” lane restriction.

OBION COUNTY, SR-5: A resurfacing project on SR 5 from US 51 (SR 3) to the Kentucky State line will cause possible lane closures throughout the project.

OBION COUNTY, SR-21: A resurfacing project on SR 21 from SR 183 to US 51 (SR 3) will cause possible lane closures throughout the project.

OBION COUNTY, SR-184: A resurfacing project on SR 184 from SR 21 to Church Street will cause possible lane closures throughout the project.

District 48 - West TN – Middle/Southern
CROCKETT COUNTY, SR 76: The grading, drainage, paving and construction of bridges on SR 76 over Cypress Creek and overflow. On February 7, 2018, a traffic signal system is being utilized. Restriction: There is an 11’ width restriction in place. Traffic reduced to one lane.

DECATUR COUNTY, SR 69:  Beginning February 7, 2018 there will be a lane closure on SR 69 to repair the bridge over Lick Creek. Temporary signals will be in use.
Restriction: There is a 12’ width restriction in place.

DECATUR COUNTY, SR 20 (US 412): The repair of a bridge on US 412 (SR 20) over the Tennessee River will cause possible lane closures throughout the project. Motorist should watch for flagmen.

DECATUR COUNTY, SR 69: May 18, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. There will be a rolling lane closure from LM 31.48 to LM 42.56 for asphalt repairs.

 

FAYETTE COUNTY, I-40: The grading, drainage, construction of a concrete bulb-tee bridge and paving on I-40 at the SR 196 (Hickory Withe Road) interchange. Motorists should watch for trucks entering and exiting the roadway.

HARDEMAN COUNTY, SR-100: Intersection improvements, including the grading, drainage and paving SR 100 at the intersection of SR 138 (LM 11.74) in Toone.

HARDIN COUNTY, SR-128: A widening project on SR 128 from South of Opel Loop to US-64 (SR 15) in Savannah will cause possible lane closures throughout the project. Motorists should watch for trucks entering and exiting the roadway from the construction zones and also crossing the roadways.

HARDIN COUNTY, SR-128:  The grading, drainage, and paving on SR 128 from south of One Stop Drive to south of Opel Loop. Motorists should watch for trucks entering and exiting the roadway from the construction zones and also crossing the roadways

HAYWOOD COUNTY-SR-19 (Brownsville Bypass): A widening project on SR 19 from west of Windrow Road to SR 76 south of Brownsville will cause possible lane closures throughout the project. Motorists should watch for trucks entering and exiting the roadway from the construction zones and also crossing the roadways.

HAYWOOD COUNTY–SR-76: Construction of a concrete bulb tee beam bridge over the Hatchie River – Wednesday, May 3, 2017 SR 76 CLOSED approx. 1 mile south of the I-40/Exit 56 interchange for removal of the truss bridge. *Local traffic will have access up to the bridge. An interstate detour will be posted at Exit 56 and Exit 52 (Stanton/KoKo Road).

HENDERSON COUNTY, SR 22: May 16-17, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. There will be a rolling lane closure from LM 11.45 to LM 23.36 for asphalt repairs.

 

MADISON COUNTY, SR-186 (US45 Bypass) and I-40: Interchange improvements on SR 186 (US 45) north and southbound from the I-40 ramps (LM 2.83) to Old Hickory Blvd (LM 3.33) for paving and construction of retaining walls.  Widening of I-40 from just east of Exit 79 to just east of Exit 82.

Wednesday, May 16, 9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.: There will be inside lane closures both north and southbound, from the I-40 Bridge to Old Hickory Blvd., to perform gravel work in the median. Weather Permitting.

Friday, May 18, 8:00 p.m.-11:00 a.m. (Saturday)
Saturday, May 19, 8:00 p.m. – 12:00 p.m. (Sunday)
Sunday, May 20, 8:00 p.m. – 6:00 a.m. (Monday)

There will be intermittent single lane closures on I-40 east and west bound from Exit 79 to Exit 82 for paving operations, bridge work, and gravel crossovers in the median. Weather Permitting.

Backup date Monday, May 21 and Tuesday, May 22 8PM-6AM

Tuesday, May 22 through Thursday, May 24, 9:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m.: There will be inside lane closures on the US 45 Bypass both north and southbound, from the I-40 Bridge to Old Hickory Blvd. for sign installation. Weather Permitting.

TDOT REGION 4: On-Call Guardrail Repair/Concrete Barrier Rail Repair:
Wednesday, May 16, and Thursday, May 17, 8:00 p.m.-6:00 a.m.: There will be night time lane closures at the following various locations to repair damaged guardrail. THP will assist with traffic control.

·         I-40, Haywood, Madison, Henderson, Carroll, and Decatur counties east and west bound MM 44.00 to MM 126.12.

Back up date May 21 & 22.

TDOT MAINTENANCE:
Wednesday, May 16, through Wednesday, May 23, 9:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m.: There will be possible lane closures at various locations in Region IV in order to repair pavement on an as needed basis.

Thursday, May 17, 7:00 p.m.-12:00 a.m.: There will be a temporary closure on I-40 east and westbound at MM 78.0 in Madison County for repairs.

District 49 - West TN – Southwest
FAYETTE COUNTY, I-40 Retracing
Monday, May 21, through Saturday, May 26, 8PM-6AM: There will be lane closures on I-40 west and eastbound directions starting at approximately MM 42.0 to MM 38.0 for retracing.  One lane will remain open in both directions.

FAYETTE COUNTY, US 70 (US 79, SR-1): A bridge repair project on SR 1 over branch will result in lane closures in both directions daily.

FAYETTE COUNTY, SR-59 over I-40: A bridge repair project on US-70 (SR 79, SR 1) over branch and on SR 59 over I-40.

LOOK AHEAD:
Saturday, June 2, 5:00 p.m. till Mid-Summer: SR-59 over I-40 (Exit 35) will be CLOSED for demolition, repairs and replacement of the bridge deck. Detours will be signed. *Speed limit is reduced to 60 MPH on I-40.

Saturday, June 2 through Wednesday, June 6, 7:00 p.m.-6:00 a.m.: CLOSE and detour I-40 east and westbound onto existing ramps at Exit 35 (SR-59) to allow for demolition of SR-59 bridge over I-40 each night. *Speed limit is reduced to 50 MPH during closure. THP will assist with traffic control. Weather Permitting.

LAUDERDALE COUNTY, SR-87: A resurfacing project on SR 87 from SR 209 to the Haywood County Line will cause possible lane closures throughout the project.

LAUDERDALE COUNTY, SR-209: A resurfacing project on SR 209 from Main St. to Chipman Rd. will cause possible lane closures throughout the project.

SHELBY COUNTY, I-40 and I-55 On-Call Signing:
Wednesday, May 16, 8:00 p.m. – 5:00 a.m. There will be one inside lane closed on I-40 eastbound starting at approximately MM 15.0 to MM 21.0 in order to remove median HOV signs.

Thursday, May 17 and Friday, May 18, 8:00 p.m. – 5:00 a.m. There will be on lane closed on I-55 northbound between MM 1-5 in order to remove median HOV signs.

SHELBY COUNTY, The resurfacing on I-40 from the Wolf River (LM 9.56) to east of the CSX overpass (LM 11.74):
Sunday, May 20 through Thursday, May 24, 8:00 p.m.-6:00 a.m.: INTERMITTENT lane closures on I-40 east and westbound from Wolf River to east of the CSX overpass to perform resurfacing work. One lane will be open in each direction. Weather permitting.

SHELBY COUNTY, Road Inspection:
Sunday, May 20, 5:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.: I-40/I-240 westbound at the Flyover MM 14.0 through MM 14.8 to allow road testing and inspection. Weather Permitting.

SHELBY COUNTY, I-240 MemFix 4: Replacement of Norfolk Southern, SR 57 east and westbound bridges, and repair of Park Avenue bridge over I-240.

 

Park Avenue has one lane CLOSED on the westbound on Park Avenue Bridge over I-240.

I-240: There are shoulder closures in both directions of I-240 east/west between Quince and Walnut Grove. The lane closures along I-240 east and westbound between Quince and Walnut Grove will stay in place throughout the project.

Tuesday, May 22, 9:00 p.m.-6:00 a.m.: There will be lane closures on I-240 westbound prior to the Poplar “Off” ramp to south of Park Ave overpass for a traffic shift. One lane on I-240 westbound will remain open during this time. I-240 westbound EXIT 15-AB (Poplar Avenue) will be CLOSED. Detours will be provided. THP will assist with traffic control. Weather prohibiting, closures will be moved to the next available night.

SHELBY COUNTY, Eastmoreland over I-240 (LM 0.36) and on U.S. 51 (SR 3) over the Wolf River (L.M. 15.25): Bridge repair will cause possible lane closures throughout the project.

Wednesday, May 16 until Mid-Summer:  There will be INTERMITTENT lane closures on US-51 (SR-3) at the Wolf River to perform bridge deck repair work. Weather Permitting.

Wednesday, May 16 until Mid-Summer:  The bridge over I-240 at Eastmoreland Avenue will be CLOSED to perform bridge deck repair work.  Detour will be provided.  Weather permitting.

SHELBY COUNTY, SR-1: Construction of a welded steel plate girder bridge on SR 1 over the Loosahatchie River will cause possible lane closures throughout the project.

SHELBY COUNTY, SR-14 (Austin Peay Hwy): Construction on SR 14 for a widening project from SR 204 (Singleton Parkway) to east of Old Covington Pike. Shoulders are closed north and southbound. There will be possible temporary lane closures throughout the project.

On April 21, 2017, Old Covington Pike East access to/from SR 14 was permanently CLOSED.
*Speed limit has been reduced to 45 MPH.

SHELBY COUNTY, SR-14: The grading, drainage, construction of concrete Bulb-Tee and I-beam bridges, signals and paving on SR 14 from east of Old Covington Pike to SR 385 will cause possible lane closures throughout the project. *Speed limit has been reduced to 45 MPH.

Wednesday, May 16, through Friday, May 18, 8:00 p.m.-5:00 a.m.: INTERMITTENT nightly lane closure on SR-14. One lane will be CLOSED. Flagmen will be used. Weather Permitting.

Monday, May 21, and Tuesday, May 22, 8:00 p.m.-5:00 a.m.: INTERMITTENT nightly lane closure on SR-14. One lane will be CLOSED. Flagmen will be used. Weather Permitting.

SHELBY COUNTY, SR-57 – Resurfacing on SR-57 from near I-240 (LM 8.18) to Val Verde (LM 10.75) (Standard Construction Co):
Sunday, May 20 through Thursday, May 24, 7:00 p.m.-6:00 a.m.: There will be INTERMITTENT closures with one lane to remain open on SR 57 east and westbound (MM 8.18 to MM 10.75) to allow for resurfacing and safety improvements. Weather Permitting.

Tuesday, May 29 through Thursday, May 31, 7:00 p.m.-6:00 a.m.: There will be INTERMITTENT closures with one lane to remain open on SR 57 east and westbound (MM 8.18 to MM 10.75) to allow for resurfacing and safety improvements. Weather Permitting. 

SHELBY and FAYETTE COUNTY, - SR-385 Sign Conversion for I-269:
Wednesday, May 16, through Saturday, May 19, 8:00 p.m.–5:00 a.m.: There will be night time closures at the following various locations for the delivery and assembly of new overhead sign structures. If weather prohibits, the repairs will be performed on the next available night. THP will assist with traffic control during night time closures. Weather Permitting. *Monday, May 21 and Tuesday, May 22, 8:00 p.m.–5:00 a.m. will serve as back up dates.

• I-40 east and westbound, MM 23.00 – MM 27.40 east and westbound, various locations; One lane will be CLOSED.
• I-40 east and westbound, EXIT 24 A-B (Airline Road and I-269): One lane will be CLOSED.

• SR 385 (I-269) north and southbound, near EXIT 18 at Donelson Farms Parkway; One lane will be CLOSED.
• SR 385 southbound, MM 7.00 – MM 9.00, near Milton Wilson overpass; One lane will be CLOSED.
• SR 57 east and westbound, MM 0.50 – MM 1.50; One lane will be CLOSED. Flagmen will be used.

Sunday, May 20, 6:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.: There will be day time lane closures and rolling road blocks to stand new overhead sign structures. If weather prohibits, the installation will be performed on the next available day. THP will assist with traffic control during day time closures. Weather Permitting.

Sunday, May 20, 6:00 a.m.–9:00 a.m.:

• I-40 eastbound, MM 22.00 – MM 23.00; One lane will remain open until time to erect the structures. Then, rolling road blocks will be used while the structure is being erected.
• I-40 westbound, MM 26.60 – MM 27.60; One lane will remain open until time to erect the structures. Then, rolling road blocks will be used while the structure is being erected.

Sunday, May 20, 9:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m.:

·         SR 385 (I-269) northbound, MM 17.80 – MM 18.80; near Donelson Farms Parkway; One lane will remain open until time to erect the structures. Then, rolling road blocks will be used while the structure is being erected.

·         SR 385 southbound, MM 7.60 – MM 9.00; near Milton Wilson overpass; One lane will remain open until time to erect the structures. Then, rolling road blocks will be used while the structure is being erected.

SHELBY COUNTY, SR-385: A bridge repair project on (SR 385) over Long Rd. (LM 10.48 and LM 11.94).

Wednesday, May 16 until Mid-Summer: SR 385 east and westbound MM 9.80 through MM 11.20 the left lane in each direction will be CLOSED, to complete bridge work at Long Road. *Speed limit has been reduced to 45MPH.

Restrictions: Traffic is reduced to one lane in each direction with a 12’ lane restriction and lane shift.

• Tipton Co., SR 59 east and westbound, MM 0.00 – MM 20.00, various locations; One lane will be CLOSED. Flagmen will be used.
• Fayette Co., SR 59 east and westbound, MM 0.00 – MM 10.00; One lane will be CLOSED. Flagmen will be used.

TIPTON COUNTY, SR-178: A resurfacing project on SR 178 from US 51 (SR 3) to Starnes Road will cause possible lane closures throughout the project.
