District 47 - West TN - Northern
BENTON COUNTY, I-40 Truck Climbing Lane:
Wednesday, May 2, through Wednesday, May 9:
Motorists should watch for trucks entering and exiting the roadway in a construction zone. *Speed limit is reduced to 60 MPH.

Saturday, May 5, and Sunday, May 6, 5:00 a.m-9:00 p.m.: Traffic will be reduced to one lane on I-40 in the westbound lane, from MM 135.0 -131.0 for paving.

Beginning Saturday, April 21, 2018, ramp work will include a lane shift on the westbound ramp.

CARROLL COUNTY, SR 104: The grading, drainage, paving and construction of a bridge on SR 104 over Mill Creek. Roadway is CLOSED for duration of project.

CARROLL COUNTY, SR 423: The grading, drainage, construction of a concrete I-beam bridge on SR 423 over Clear Creek. Motorists should watch for trucks entering and exiting the roadway.

Restrictions: Monday, February 12, a traffic signal system is being utilized. Traffic is reduced to one lane in with a 10’ lane restriction.

DYER COUNTY, SR-3/US-51: Repair of bridges over South Fork Forked Deer River. Motorists should watch for trucks entering and exiting the roadway in a construction zone.

DYER COUNTY, SR-20 (US 412): Repair of bridges over North Fork Forked Deer River. Restrictions: Traffic is reduced to one lane in each direction with a 12’ lane restriction. *Speed limit has been reduced to 55 MPH.

DYER COUNTY, SR-20 (US 412): Repair of bridges over Lewis Creek. Motorists should watch for trucks entering and exiting the roadway.

HENRY COUNTY, SR-54: The grading, drainage, construction of bridges, retaining wall and paving on SR 54 from near Rison Street to near Smith Road. Motorists should watch for trucks entering and exiting the roadway. *Speed limit has been reduced to 35MPH.

LAKE COUNTY, SR-78: Construction of a concrete Bulb-Tee bridge on SR 78 over drainage ditch including grading, drainage, and paving will cause possible lane closures throughout the project.

Restrictions: Beginning Tuesday, August 1 through November 30, 2018, a traffic signal system is being utilized. Traffic is reduced to one lane in each direction with a 9’ lane restriction.

OBION COUNTY, Future I-69: Grading, drainage, construction of eight bridges on future I-69 from south of US 51 (SR 3) to south of US 45W (SR 5) will cause possible lane closures throughout the project. *Speed limit is reduced to 45 MPH through the US 51 (SR 3) portion of the project. The inside southbound lane on SR 3 is closed to all traffic for installation of barrier rail.

Restrictions: Tuesday, June 13, 2017 SR 3 has a lane shift in the north and southbound directions. Traffic is reduced to one lane in each direction with a 11’ 6” lane restriction.

OBION COUNTY, SR-5: A resurfacing project on SR 5 from US 51 (SR 3) to the Kentucky State line will cause possible lane closures throughout the project.

OBION COUNTY, SR-21: A resurfacing project on SR 21 from SR 183 to US 51 (SR 3) will cause possible lane closures throughout the project.

OBION COUNTY, SR-184: A resurfacing project on SR 184 from SR 21 to Church Street will cause possible lane closures throughout the project.

District 48 - West TN – Middle/Southern

CROCKETT COUNTY, SR 76: The grading, drainage, paving and construction of bridges on SR 76 over Cypress Creek and overflow. Beginning February 7, 2018, temporary signals will be utilized.

Restriction: There will be a 11’ width restriction in place. Traffic reduced to one lane.

DECATUR COUNTY, SR 69:  Beginning February 7, 2018 there will be a lane closure on SR 69 to repair the bridge over Lick Creek. Temporary signals will be in use.

Restriction: There will be a 12’ width restriction in place.

DECATUR COUNTY, SR 20 (US 412): The repair of a bridge on US 412 (SR 20) over the Tennessee River will cause possible lane closures though out the project. Motorist should watch for flagmen.

FAYETTE COUNTY, I-40: The grading, drainage, construction of a concrete bulb-tee bridge and paving on I-40 at the SR 196 (Hickory Withe Road) interchange. Motorists should watch for trucks entering and exiting the roadway.

Saturday, May 5, and Sunday, May 6, 6:00 a.m.-8:00 p.m.: There will be temporary inside and outside lane closures on I-40 east and west bound from MM 28.0 to MM 30.0 for the placement of bridge deck pans. Traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction with a 60 MPH speed limit and the width restriction will be 16’. THP to assist with traffic control. Weather Permitting.

HARDEMAN COUNTY, SR-100: The improvement of the intersection on SR 100 at the intersection of SR 138 (LM 11.74) in Toone. Includes grading, drainage, and paving.

HARDIN COUNTY, SR-15:
Monday, May 7, 8:30 a.m.-4:40 p.m.:
There will be a temporary lane closure eastbound at the Tennessee River, for bridge inspection.

Tuesday, May 8, 8:30 a.m.-4:40 p.m.: There will be a temporary lane closure westbound at the Tennessee River, for bridge inspection.

HARDIN COUNTY, SR-128: A widening project on SR 128 from South of Opel Loop to US-64 (SR 15) in Savannah will cause possible lane closures throughout the project. Motorists should watch for trucks entering and exiting the roadway from the construction zones and also crossing the roadways.

HARDIN COUNTY, SR-128:  The grading, drainage, and paving on SR 128 from south of One Stop Drive to south of Opel Loop. Motorists should watch for trucks entering and exiting the roadway from the construction zones and also crossing the roadways

HAYWOOD COUNTY-SR-19 (Brownsville Bypass): A widening project on SR 19 from west of Windrow Road to SR 76 south of Brownsville will cause possible lane closures throughout the project. Motorists should watch for trucks entering and exiting the roadway from the construction zones and also crossing the roadways.

HAYWOOD COUNTY–SR-76: Construction of a concrete bulb tee beam bridge over the Hatchie River – Wednesday, May 3, 2017 SR 76 CLOSED approx. 1 mile south of the I-40/Exit 56 interchange for removal of the truss bridge. *Local traffic will have access up to the bridge. An interstate detour will be posted at Exit 56 and Exit 52 (Stanton/KoKo Road).

MADISON COUNTY, SR-186 (US45 Bypass) and I-40: Interchange improvements on SR 186 (US 45) north and southbound from the I-40 ramps (LM 2.83) to Old Hickory Blvd (LM 3.33) for paving and construction of retaining walls.  Widening of I-40 from just east of Exit 79 to just east of Exit 82.

Thursday, May 3, 9:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m.:

·       US 45 Bypass will have the left lane closed both north and southbound from Carriage House Drive to Old Hickory Blvd. for median work.

Saturday, May 5, 5:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m.:

·       I-40 will have intermittent lane closures from MM 79.0 to MM 81.0 east and westbound for bridge work at Exit 80.

·       US 45 Bypass will have the left lane closed both north and southbound from Carriage House  Ln. to Old Hickory Blvd. for concrete ditch paving .Weather Permitting. Back up date Sunday, May 6

Monday, May 7, through Wednesday, May 9, 9:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m.: There will be intermittent lane closures on 45 Bypass north and southbound around Carriage House Drive for Shelby Electric to do signal work at the Carriage House Drive/Casey Jones Ln. Intersection.

**Wednesday, May 9, 5:00 a.m.-7:00 p.m.: There will be intermittent lane closures, both north and southbound from Old Hickory Blvd. to Carriage House Drive for paving operations and signal work at the Carriage House Drive/Casey Jones Ln. Intersection.

**Paving operations will not take place until Shelby Electric has completed work to the signal at the Carriage House Drive/Casey Jones Ln. Intersection.

Saturday, May 12, 2:30 a.m.-12:00 p.m.: I-40 traffic will be rerouted onto the ramps, at Exit 80, so that the new bridge deck can be poured. As a result, north and southbound lanes of US 45 Bypass will be closed at the I-40/US 45 Bypass interchange, where they will be detoured onto posted routes.

Saturday, May 19, 6:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m.: I-40 will have lane closures from MM 79.0 to MM 82.0, in the left lane, both east and westbound to pave outside lanes and replace rumble strip.

Park Avenue has one lane CLOSED in each direction on Park Avenue Bridge.

I-240: There are shoulder closures in both directions of I-240 east/west between Quince and Walnut Grove. The lane closures along I-240 east and westbound between Quince and Walnut Grove will stay in place throughout the project.

Wednesday, May 2, 8:00 p.m.-5:00 a.m.: There will be lane closures on I-240 eastbound prior to the I-240 EB “Off” ramp to Poplar Ave to complete the new temporary ramp. The exit ramp to Poplar Ave. will be CLOSED. Detours will be provided. THP will assist with traffic control. * Thursday, May 3, 8PM-5AM will serve as a backup date.

SHELBY COUNTY, Eastmoreland over I-240 (LM 0.36) and on U.S. 51 (SR 3) over the Wolf River (L.M. 15.25): Bridge repair will cause possible lane closures throughout the project.

Wednesday, May 2 until Mid-Summer:  There will be INTERMITTENT lane closures on US-51 (SR-3) at the Wolf River (LM-15.25) to perform the contracted bridge deck repair work. Weather Permitting.

Wednesday, May 2 until Mid-Summer:  The bridge over I-240 at LM-0.36 (Eastmoreland Avenue) will be CLOSED to perform the contracted bridge deck repair work.  Detour will be provided.  Weather permitting.

SHELBY COUNTY, SR-1: Construction of a welded steel plate girder bridge on SR 1 over the Loosahatchie River will cause possible lane closures throughout the project.

SHELBY COUNTY, SR-14 (Austin Peay Hwy): Construction on SR 14 for a widening project from SR 204 (Singleton Parkway) to east of Old Covington Pike. Shoulders are closed north and southbound. There will be possible temporary lane closures throughout the project.

On April 21, 2017, Old Covington Pike East access to/from SR 14 was permanently CLOSED. *Speed limit has been reduced to 45 MPH.

SHELBY COUNTY, SR-14: The grading, drainage, construction of concrete Bulb-Tee and I-beam bridges, signals and paving on SR 14 from east of Old Covington Pike to SR 385 will cause possible lane closures throughout the project. *Speed limit has been reduced to 45 MPH.

Wednesday, May 2, through Friday, May 4, 8:00 p.m.-5:00 a.m.: INTERMITTENT nightly lane closure on SR-14. One lane will be CLOSED. Flagmen will be used. Weather Permitting.

Wednesday, May 2, through Thursday, May 10, 8:00 p.m.–5:00 a.m.: There will be night time closures at the following various locations to install new overhead signs and new guardrail terminals. If weather prohibits, the repairs will be performed on the next available night. THP will assist with traffic control during night time closures. Weather Permitting.

·       SR 385 (I-269) north and southbound, MM 0.00 – MM 19.80; various locations; One lane will be CLOSED.

·       I-40 east and westbound, MM 23.00 – MM 27.40 east and westbound, various locations; One lane will be CLOSED.

TIPTON COUNTY, SR-178: A Resurfacing project on SR 178 from US 51 (SR 3) to Starnes Road will cause possible lane closures throughout the project.
