ANDERSON COUNTY, US 25/SR 9 Bridge over Clinch River between SR 61 and Carden Farm Drive: Motorists should be alert for workers present and use extreme caution through this bridge construction project.

BLOUNT COUNTY, US 129 By-Pass at US 321/SR 73: Motorists should be alert for possible temporary lane closures daily between the hours of 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. or nightly between the hours of 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. the following morning through this construction project.  Motorists should be alert for workers present, expect possible delays, and use extreme caution through this area.

CAMPBELL COUNTY, I-75 South at the Kentucky/Tennessee State Line: Motorists should be alert for possible temporary lane closures nightly between the hours of 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. the following morning through this project. Motorists should be alert and use caution as crews construct Welcome Center exit ramp.  Motorists should be alert for possible slowed traffic, expect potential delays and use extreme caution through this area.  

CAMPBELL COUNTY, I-75 North and South between Mile Markers 135 and 142: Motorists should be alert for possible temporary lane closures between the hours of 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. the following morning through this project. Motorists should be alert for slowed or stopped traffic, expect potential delays and use extreme caution through this area.  

CAMPBELL COUNTY, SR 9 between SR 63 and Cumberland Lane: Motorists should be alert for possible lane closures nightly between the hours of 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. the following morning as crews complete final items through this resurfacing project. Motorists should be alert for workers present, expect delays and use extreme caution through this area.

COCKE COUNTY, US 25/SR 9 East Broadway Street between US 321 Cosby Highway and Belton Avenue: Motorists in the downtown Newport area should be alert for temporary road closures with detours as crews perform utility replacements through this area.  During the initial phase of work, short sections of East Broadway Street will be closed and traffic detoured around.  Truck traffic from I-40 wishing to access this area should use Exit 440 during this time.  Motorists should be alert for changed conditions and follow signed detours.  Motorists should be alert for workers present, lane closures and lane shifts, and use extreme caution through this area.  This Newport Utilities project is estimated to be complete in February 2019.

GRAINGER COUNTY, US 25/SR 32 between SR 131 and Thorn Hill Church Road: Motorists should be alert for possible lane closures and new traffic patterns through this construction project.  Motorists should be alert for workers present, reduced speeds, and use extreme caution through this area.

JEFFERSON COUNTY, SR 92 Bridge across French Broad River in Dandridge: Motorists should be alert for possible temporary lane closures with flag persons directing traffic in this area at various times through this bridge construction project. Motorists should be alert for workers present, expect potential delays and use extreme caution through this area. JOHNSON COUNTY, SR 67, Intersection of SR 67 at Pedro Shoun Lane and Sprucey Lane (LM 12.25 to LM 12.75): Motorists should be alert to the temporary utilization of a portable concrete barrier rail system within the project’s work zone limits at the intersection of SR 67 at Pedro Shoun Lane and Sprucey Lane. The roadway traffic lanes are temporarily reduced to a nine and one half foot width (9.5 FT) within this project’s work zone limits.  Motorists should also be alert for temporary reduced regulatory speed limit (from 45 MPH down to 35 MPH), temporary reduced roadway width, construction workers and equipment being present, and expect potential delays.   Motorist should use extreme caution when traveling through this project’s work zone area.  This project is estimated to be complete on or before May 31, 2019. 

KNOX COUNTY, I-40 East and West between Mile Markers 368 and 373: On Sunday, January 27, 2019, motorists should be alert for possible brief rolling roadblocks between the hours of 7 a.m. and 1 p.m. as utility crews perform overhead line work.  Motorists should be alert for slow or stopped traffic and use extreme caution through this area.

KNOX COUNTY, I-640 West between Mile Markers 7.5 and 5: Motorists should be alert for lane shifts, closed shoulders, reduced speeds and use extreme caution through this construction project.

KNOX COUNTY, US 129/SR 115 Alcoa Highway between Maloney Road and Woodson Drive: Motorists should be alert for possible temporary lane closures as crews perform work through this project. Access to Mt. Vernon Road is closed at the intersection of Alcoa Highway for roadway construction.  This closure is necessary while the new alignment of Alcoa highway and bridge are being constructed, and will be permanent.  Motorists should also be aware of a new traffic pattern at the Mt. Vernon intersection.   Motorists should be alert for lane shifts on Alcoa Highway through this project. The left turn lane from southbound Alcoa Highway onto Woodson Drive is closed. Motorists on southbound Alcoa Highway wishing to access Woodson Drive will be detoured to SR 168 Governor John Sevier Highway to SR 33 Maryville Pike back to Woodson Drive. No left turns are permitted onto southbound Alcoa Highway from Woodson Drive. Motorists on Woodson Drive wishing to access southbound Alcoa Highway should follow detour route. Motorists should be alert for workers present, expect potential delays and use caution through this area. Motorists should be alert for possible temporary lane closures and brief rolling roadblocks at various times through this construction project.  Motorists should be alert for workers present, reduce speed and use extreme caution through this area. KNOX COUNTY, SR 62 Western Avenue between Texas Avenue and Major Avenue: Motorists should be alert for possible temporary lane closures with flag persons directing traffic in this area at various times through this construction project. Motorists may encounter short stoppages of traffic in both directions at various times as crews move equipment. Motorists should be alert for workers present, expect potential delays and use extreme caution through this area. KNOX COUNTY, SR 33 Broadway at I-640: The turn lane from SR 33 southbound to I-640 West is closed as crews continue construction.  Through traffic on SR 33 southbound should use the left lane.  Motorists wishing to access I-640 West should use the right lane. Motorists should be alert for possible lane closures on Broadway approaching I-640 to occur at various times as crews perform bridge work. Motorists should be alert for lane shifts and narrowed lanes in this area. KNOX COUNTY, SR 332 Concord Road between Turkey Creek Road and Northshore: Motorists should be alert for possible lane closures daily between the hours of 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. through this construction project.  Motorists should be alert for workers present, expect potential delays, and use extreme caution through this area.

LOUDON COUNTY, US 321/SR 73 between Simpson Road and US 11: Motorists should be alert for possible lane closures and lane shifts through this intersection widening project. Motorists should be alert for changed conditions and follow detour signs during this time. Motorists should be alert for workers present and use extreme caution through this area.

MONROE COUNTY, US 11/SR 2 Bridge over Sweetwater Creek at Log Mile 5: US 11 (SR 2) is reduced to one lane around the clock controlled by a temporary traffic signal as crews perform bridge repairs in this area.  Motorists should be alert for new conditions, be prepared to stop, expect delays and use extreme caution through this area.  This project is estimated to be completed on or before January 31, 2019.

MORGAN/ROANE COUNTY, US27/SR29 between Whetstone Road and SR 61:  Motorists should be alert for lane shifts, closed shoulders and possible temporary lane closures with flagging personnel present at various times throughout this construction project. Motorists should be alert for reduced speeds and use extreme caution in this area.

ROANE COUNTY, US 27/ SR 61 South between I-40 and Martin Road in Harriman: The US 27 South/ SR 61 Bridge over Caney Creek is reduced from two lanes to one as crews perform work on this bridge repair project.  This lane reduction will remain in place around the clock until repairs are complete.  Motorists should be alert for workers present, narrowed lanes, expect delays and use extreme caution through this area.  Wide loads should follow signed detour route.  This project is estimated to be complete on or before May 31, 2019.

ROANE COUNTY, US70/SR1 at SR 29:  Motorists should be alert for possible lane closures during daylight hours through this intersection improvement project. Motorists should be alert for workers present and use extreme caution through this area.

SEVIER COUNTY, US 411 between Industrial Park Road and Old Newport Highway: On Sunday, January 27, 2019 and Monday, January 28, 2019, motorists should be alert for possible lane closures between the hours of 9 p.m. and 6 a.m. the following morning for traffic signal installation.  Motorists should be alert for workers present and use extreme caution through this area.

SEVIER COUNTY, SR 71 between US 411 and Macon Lane: Motorists should be alert for possible lane closures daily between the hours of 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. through this construction project.  Motorists should be alert for workers and equipment present, expect potential delays, and use extreme caution through this area.

SULLIVAN COUNTY, SR 36 between SR1 and Virginia State Line: Motorists should use caution through this area as crews work to complete this safety project.  Motorists may encounter mobile operation as striping is being installed along this route.

SULLIVAN COUNTY, SR 36 Intersection at Moreland Drive and Hemlock Road: Motorists should be alert for possible lane closures between the hours of 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. through this project. Motorists should be alert for workers present and use extreme caution through this area.

SULLIVAN COUNTY, SR 36 between Wesley Road and SR 93: Motorists should use caution through this area as crews work to complete this safety project.  Motorists may encounter mobile operation as striping is being installed along this route.
