TDOT Weekly Construction Report for Middle Tennessee, May 30 – June 5, 2019

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Resurfacing on I-40 from west of Church Street to east of Arlington Avenue

·         Nightly, 8PM-5AM, There will be alternating nightly lane closures on I-40 in both directions from MM 209-213 final pavement markings.

 

DAVIDSON COUNTY, I-440 Reconstruction from I-40 to I-24, including removing and replacing existing pavement

·         From now through July 2020, There will be intermittent lane closures in both directions on I-440 for maintenance as needed. At least one lane open in both directions.

·         Daily, 9AM-3PM, There will be a right lane closure on SR 6 (Franklin Pike) southbound at I-65 for bridge substructure work.

 

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Intersection improvements on US 31A at Welshwood Drive (LM7.24) and resurfacing from Swiss Drive (LM 4.24) at Elysian Fields Rd (LM 7.52)

·         Nightly, 8PM-5AM, There will be a nightly lane closure on Nolensville Road in both directions from Swiss Drive to Harding Place for thermoplastic, ADA ramps, sidewalks, and signal work.

 

DAVIDSON COUNTY, I-24 over Cumberland River, Woodland St, Main St joint repair

·         Monday, June 3 and Tuesday, June 4, 9PM-5AM, There will be alternating lane closures on I-24 westbound in order to get field measurements of existing joints. Three lanes to remain open with occasional rolling road blocks.

 

DAVIDSON COUNTY, SR 1 Grading, Drainage, Signals, and Paving from Vultee Boulevard to Jupiter Drive

·         Daily, 9AM-5PM, There will be a lane closure in both directions for storm drain installation and paving. At least one lane will remain open at all times.

 

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Bridge Replacement on Hillwood Blvd

·         From now through July 2019, Hillwood Blvd. will be closed from SR 1 (Harding Pike) to Post Road for bridge replacement. A signed detour will be in place.

 

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Resurfacing on I-24 from near Clay Lick Rd (LM 5) to west of SR 45 Old Hickory Blvd (LM 8.65)

·         Nightly, 8PM-5AM, There will be alternating lane closures for milling between MM 37-40. At least one lane will remain open in each direction.

 

DAVIDSON/RUTHERFORD COUNTIES, I-24 SMART Corridor

·         Nightly, 8PM-5AM, There will be temporary, intermittent closures of the outside lanes of I-24 in both directions between Bell Rd & Sam Ridley Pkwy to move and replace rail from various locations.

 

 

 

MAURY COUNTY, SR 396 Saturn Pkwy. Extension and SR 247

·         Daily, 9AM-3:30PM, Sign footer installing eastbound will close left lane.

 

MAURY COUNTY, Construction of New Interchange on US 43 @ SR 6

·         Daily, 8AM-4:30PM, US-43 and SR 166 will have intermittent lane closures for resurfacing.

 

MAURY COUNTY, Widening of Beechcroft Rd from Cleburn Rd to McCormick Crossing

·         Daily, 9AM-3:30PM, There will be temporary lane closures on SR 247 for widening activities.

 

ROBERTSON COUNTY, SR 161 Bridge Repair

·         From now through spring 2019, The bridge at LM 9 will be reduced to one lane for repairs. Traffic will be controlled by a temporary signal.

 

ROBERTSON and SUMNER COUNTY, S.I.A. Serving Project "Deepdish"

·         Daily, 9AM-3PM, There will be temporary lane closures on SR 52 and US 31W for phase 1 construction activities. One lane will remain open.

 

SMITH COUNTY, Rockfall Mitigation on SR 25

·         Daily, 9AM-3PM, There will be temporary lane closures on SR 25 for paving operations.

 

SMITH COUNTY, Resurfacing on SR 53 from SR 141/SR 264 (LM 11.04) to US 70N (SR 24) (LM 15.66)

·         Daily, 9AM-3:30PM, There will be temporary lane closures on SR 53 in both directions for paving activities. One lane will remain open.

 

SMITH COUNTY, Resurfacing SR 96 from the Putnam County line (LM 0.0) to Putnam County line (LM 0.66)

·         Daily, 9AM-3:30PM, There will be temporary lane closures on SR 96 in both directions for paving activities. One lane will remain open.

 

SUMNER COUNTY, Retaining Wall Construction on SR 109 from Odem’s Bend to Bypass of South Gallatin

·         Daily, 9AM-3PM, There will be temporary lane closures on SR 109 in both directions for construction and possible paving. One lane will remain open.

 

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Resurfacing on I-65 from near Liberty Pike (LM 13.37) to south of Concord Road (LM 17.50)

·         Nightly 8PM-5AM, There will be alternating lane closures in both directions on I-65 between MM 67-71 for milling.

 

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Resurfacing on I-840 from near Campbell Road (LM 26) to west of the bridge over the Harpeth River (LM 33.05), including bridge deck repair

·         Nightly, 8PM-5AM, There will be nightly lane closures on I-840 between MM 31-39 for milling and paving.

 

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Grading, drainage, and paving on SR 11 at the intersection of SR 96 in Triune

·         Daily, 8AM-4PM, There will be a lane closure on SR11 NB and SR96 WB for grading work.

 

 

WILSON COUNTY, I-40 Widening east of SR 109 to east of I-840

·         Monday, June 3 through Wednesday, June 5, 8AM-5AM, There will be lane closures on I-40 westbound.

 

WILSON COUNTY, Widening on SR 141 from South of Spring Creek to North of Lovers Lane

·         Daily, 6AM-6PM, There will be a temporary lane closure on SR 141 for construction activities. One lane will remain open in each direction.

 

WILSON COUNTY, Bridge Repair on SR 26 over Sinking Creek

·         Through fall 2019, SR 26 will be down to one 10' lane in each direction on the bridge over Sinking Creek. One lane will be open in each direction.

 

WILSON COUNTY, Resurfacing from US 70 (SR26) (LM 18) to the Smith County Line (LM 27.73)

·         Daily, 9AM-3:30PM, There will be temporary lane closures on SR 24 in both directions for paving activities. One lane will remain open.

 

WILSON COUNTY, Resurfacing on US 231 from Market Street (LM 14.41) to near Forrest Avenue (LM 15.18)

·         Daily, 9AM-3:30PM, There will be temporary lane closures on SR 10 (US 231) in both directions for paving activities. One lane will remain open.

 

WILSON COUNTY, Resurfacing SR 141 from East of Stokes Street (LM 10.54) to Sugar Flat Road (LM 14.59)

·         Daily, 9AM-3:30PM, There will be temporary lane closures on SR 141 in both directions for paving activities. One lane will remain open.

·         Thursday, May 30, 8PM-5AM, There will be lane closures on I-40 westbound at MM 197 for paving.

 

DICKSON COUNTY

·         Wednesday, May 29-Friday, May 31, 9AM-3PM, There will be a cleanup of a fuel spill that will require intermittent lane closures.

 

RUTHERFORD COUNTY

·         Wednesday, May 29-Tuesday, June 4, 6PM-6AM, There will be alternating lane closures at I-840 in both directions at MM 55 for milling and patching.

·         Thursday, June 30- Wednesday, June 5, 9AM-3PM, There will be lane closure(s) on SR 266 for miscellaneous operations

 

SUMNER COUNTY

·         Monday, June 3, 9AM-3PM, There will be a lane closure on SR 6 northbound of milling and paving.

·         Tuesday, June 4, 8PM-5AM, There will be milling and paving on I-65 Northbound (MM 99.10) resulting in the closure of the slow lane.

·         Wednesday, June 5, 8PM-5AM, There will Bridge Deck Repair on I-65 Southbound (MM 98.80) resulting in the closure of the fast lane.

·         Thursday, June 6, 8PM-5AM, There will be milling and paving on I-65 Southbound (MM 101.30) resulting in the closure of the slow lane.

 

 

WILLIAMSON COUNTY

·         Monday, June 6-Tuesday, June 7, 8PM-5AM, There will be one lane closure on SR 11 at MM 15 for subgrade work.

 

WILSON COUNTY

·         Daily, 9AM-3PM, There will be rolling roadblocks on SR 109, between Callis Road and I-40, for rock blasting/excavation. Additionally, traffic will be reduced to one lane in both directions at the intersection of SR 109 and Callis Road for construction of turn lane and crossover.

 

Motorists are encouraged to use caution and obey reduced speed limits in all TDOT work zones, regardless of lane closure activity.  Information in this report is provided to the Department of Transportation by the contractors.  Most work is weather dependent and subject to change due to inclement weather.
