TRAFFIC ADVISORY- Nashville Interstate Lane Closures - Weekend of July 12

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Tennessee Department of Transportation has scheduled weekend lane closures on I-24 westbound and I-40 westbound in Nashville for repairs on the Arlington Avenue bridge over I-40/I-24 during the weekend of July 12.

The closures are as follows.

July 12 at 8 p.m. through July 15 at 5 a.m.

·         Traffic on I-24 westbound south of downtown will be diverted to I-440 west (exit 53) and I-40 east to Briley Parkway (exit 52B). Through traffic is encouraged to use Briley Parkway to detour to I-24 west. Drivers headed to downtown Nashville should take I-440 to I-65.

·         I-40 westbound will be reduced to one lane at the Arlington Avenue bridge at mile marker 213.

·         I-40 eastbound and I-24 eastbound will not be impacted.

During the weekend lane closures, crews will be repairing a concrete beam on the bridge. The cost of the repair contract is $537,500.00

I-24 Arlington Bridge Closure
