TDOT Weekly Construction Report for Middle Tennessee, July 25-31, 2019

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Repair of the bridges on I-24 over US 31 E (SR6) over Woodland Street (LM 14.54) and the Cumberland River (LM 15.23)

·         LOOK AHEAD Friday, August 2 at 9PM through Monday, August 5 at 5AM, I-24 will be closed in both directions between I-40 interchange and I-65 interchange (east loop) for bridge joint repair. This includes ramp closures at First St., Spring St., James Robertson Pkwy., Woodland St., and Korean Vets Blvd/Shelby Ave. Interstate traffic will be detoured on I-65 around the west side of the downtown loop. No local routes will be closed.

·         Nightly (excluding Friday and Saturday), 9PM-5AM, There will be lane closures on I-24 in both directions between MM 47-50 for preliminary work on Main Street and Woodland Street bridge joints.

 

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Interstate 440 Reconstruction

·         Daily, 9AM-3PM, There will be a right lane closure on SR 6 (Franklin Pike southbound) at LM 5.5 for bridge work. There will be lane closures on West End Avenue between LM 14.5-15 for electrical work.

·         Daily, 9PM-5AM, There will be lane closures on I-440 over I-65 in both directions for bridge work. Additionally, there will be lane closures between I-40 and I-65 for paving operations and overhead signage. At least one lane will remain open in both directions.

·         From now through August 2020, I-440 will be restricted to two travel lanes in each direction from 5AM-9PM and one travel lane in each direction from 9PM-5AM.

 

 

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Intersection improvements on US 31A at Welshwood Drive (LM 7.24) and resurfacing from Swiss Drive (LM 4.24) at Elysian Fields Rd (LM 7.52)

·         Nightly, 8PM-5AM, There will be a nightly lane closure on Nolensville Road in both directions from Swiss Drive to Harding Place for milling operations.

 

DAVIDSON COUNTY, SR 1 Grading, Drainage, Signals, and Paving from Vultee Boulevard to Jupiter Drive

·         Daily and Nightly (excluding rush hours), There will be lane closures for paving.

 

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Resurfacing on I-24 from near Clay Lick Rd (LM 5) to west of SR 45 Old Hickory Blvd (LM 8.65)

·         Nightly, (excluding Friday and Saturday), 8PM-5AM, There will be alternating lane closures for paving between MM 37-40. At least one lane will remain open in each direction.

 

DAVIDSON COUNTY, I-24/Hickory Hollow Interchange Improvements (MM 62) and Safety Improvements at I-24/Old Hickory Blvd (MM 60)

·         Thursday, July 25, 8PM-5AM, There will be temporary lane closures on I-24 eastbound from Bell Road to Old Hickory Blvd for restriping, barrier rail placement, and placing signs for the I-24 median drainage work under Hickory Hollow. Two lanes will remain open at all times.

·         Nighty, 8PM-5AM, There will be a lane closure at the Old Hickory Blvd exit for base stone placement and paving.

 

MACON COUNTY, Resurfacing on SR 10 from south of Ellington Drive (LM 8.88) to KY state line (LM 16.89)

·         Daily, 6AM-6PM, There will be temporary lane closures on SR 10 in both directions for degrassing activities. One lane will remain open.

 

MACON COUNTY, Safety Improvements on SR 52 from SR 141 (LM 3.06) to Old Highway 52 (LM 3.39)

·         Daily, 6AM-6PM, There will be alternating lanes closures on SR 52 in both directions for paving and pavement marking activities. One lane will remain open.

 

MAURY COUNTY, Intersection Improvements at Port Royal Road

·         Daily, 9AM-3:30PM, Temporary lane closures for the placement of barrier wall on Port Royal Road.

 

MAURY COUNTY, Widening of Beechcroft Rd from Cleburn Rd to McCormick Crossing

·         Daily, 9AM-3:30PM, There will be temporary lane closures on SR 247 at MM 17.12 for widening and utility activities.

 

MAURY COUNTY, SR 50 Resurfacing

·         Daily, 8:30AM – 4PM, There will be temporary lane closures for resurfacing activities from LM 12-13.

 

MAURY COUNTY, City of Columbia West 7th Multimodal Streetscape

·         Daily, 7AM-5PM, There will be temporary lane closures on SR 99 between MM 16.40-16.80 in the westbound lane to rehab curb, gutter, and sidewalk area.

 

MAURY COUNTY, Widening of Duplex Road from US 31 to Secluded Lane

·         Daily, 9AM-3:30PM, There will be temporary lane closures on SR 247 for road widening.

 

ROBERTSON COUNTY, I-65 Construction of New Interchange

·         Nightly, 8PM-5AM, There will be temporary lane closures on I-65 northbound and southbound for barrier rail relocation and paving operations. One lane will remain open in each direction.

 

ROBERTSON and SUMNER COUNTY, S.I.A. Serving Project "Deepdish"

·         Daily, 9AM-3PM, There will be temporary lane closures on SR 52 and US 31W for phase 2 construction activities. One lane will remain open.

 

RUTHERFORD COUNTY, The Resurfacing of I-24 from the Davidson County line to the Rocky Fork Overpass

·         Friday July 26 at 8PM through Monday, July 29 at 5AM, The westbound exit ramp to Sam Ridley Parkway will be closed for ramp repair work.

·         Nightly, 8PM-5AM, There will be temporary lane closures on I-24 eastbound between MM 64-69 construction activities. One lane will remain open at all times.

 

RUTHERFORD COUNTY, The Resurfacing of SR 10 (US 231) from Tiger Hill to North of Rutherford Blvd

·         Nightly, 8PM-5AM, There will be alternating lane closures on SR 10 between MM 8.67-12.08 in both directions for construction activities. One lane will remain open at all times.

 

SMITH COUNTY, Resurfacing on SR 53 from SR 141/SR 264 (LM 11.04) to US 70N (SR 24) (LM 15.66)

·         Nightly, 6PM-5:30AM, There will be temporary lane closures on SR 53 in both directions for paving activities. One lane will remain open.

 

SMITH COUNTY, The repair of the I-40 WB bridge over Caney Fork River at M.M. 263.1 (L.M. 12.99)

·         Friday, July 26 at 7PM through Monday, July 29 at 5AM, I-40 westbound will be reduced to one lane for bridge repair operations at MM 263. Drivers should expect delays.

 

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Resurfacing on I-65 from near Liberty Pike (LM 13.37) to south of Concord Road (LM 17.50)

·         Nightly (excluding Saturdays) 8PM-5AM, There will be alternating lane closures in both directions on I-65 between MM 67-71 for milling and paving as well as temporary ramp closures.

 

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Grading, drainage, and paving on SR 11 at the intersection of SR 96 in Triune

·         Daily, 8AM-4PM, There will be a lane closure on SR11 northbound and SR 96 westbound (MM 23.40-23.76) for construction activities.

 

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Resurfacing on I-840 near Campbell Road (LM 26) to west of the bridge over the Harpeth River (LM 33.05)

·         Nightly (excluding Saturday), 8PM-5AM, There will be a nightly lane closure in both directions for milling and paving. One lane will remain open.

·         Friday, July 26 at 8PM through Monday, July 29 at 6AM, There will be a lane closure in both directions from MM 31-39 for bridge repairs.

 

WILSON COUNTY, I-840 Resurfacing from north of the Rutherford County line to east of Stewarts Ferry Pike

·         Nightly (excluding Saturday), 8PM-5AM, There will be alternating lane closures on I-840 (MM 65-71) in both directions for de-grassing and milling. One lane will remain open at all times.

 

WILSON COUNTY, Widening on SR 141 from South of Spring Creek to North of Lovers Lane

·         Daily, 6AM-6PM, There will be a temporary lane closure on SR 141 for construction activities. One lane will remain open in each direction.

 

WILSON COUNTY, Bridge Repair on SR 26 over Sinking Creek

·         Through December 2019, SR 26 will be down to one 10' lane in each direction on the bridge over Sinking Creek. One lane will be open in each direction.

 

WILSON COUNTY, Resurfacing from US 70 (SR26) (LM 18) to the Smith County Line (LM 27.73)

·         Weekdays, 9AM-3:30PM, Weekends, 6:30AM-6:30PM There will be temporary lane closures on SR 24 in both directions for paving activities. One lane will remain open.

 

WILSON COUNTY, Resurfacing SR 141 from East of Stokes Street (LM 10.54) to Sugar Flat Road (LM 14.59)

·         Weekdays, 9AM-3:30PM, Weekends 6:30AM-6:30PM, There will be temporary lane closures on SR 141 in both directions for paving activities. One lane will remain open.

 

WILSON COUNTY, Resurfacing on SR 171 from North of SR 265 (LM 3.9) to Belinda City Parkway (LM 4.56)

·         Nightly starting Sunday, July 21, 8PM-6AM, There will be temporary lane closures on SR 171 in both directions for milling and paving activities. One lane will remain open.

 

WILSON COUNTY, The repair of the bridge on I-40 EB over US 70 (SR 26) (LM 16.82)

·         Monday, July 29 through Thursday, August 1, SR 26 will be reduced to one lane under the I-40 bridges.

DAVIDSON COUNTY

·         Daily, 9AM-3PM, There will be a lane closure on southbound SR 1 for construction of sidewalk and curb and gutter for KIPP Nashville (LM 30).

·         Monday, July 29, 9AM-3PM, There will be a lane closure on Briley Parkway at MM 8-9 for tree cutting.

·         Tuesday, July 30, 8PM-5AM, There will be a lane closure in both directions for striping work.

·         Sunday, July 28 and Sunday, August 11, 6AM-12PM, NES will have rolling roadblocks on I-65 at Garfield bridge, south of Rosa L Parks Blvd, to remove and replace conductor cables.

 

MONTGOMERY COUNTY

·         Thursday, July 25, 8PM-5AM,  There will be a lane closure on I-24 eastbound at MM 8-10 for rock removal.

 

ROBERTSON COUNTY

·         Friday, July 26, 8PM-5AM,  There will be a lane closure on I-65 at MM 115 for cleanup work.

 

WILSON COUNTY

·         Daily, 9AM-3PM, There will be rolling roadblocks on SR 109, between Callis Road and I-40, for rock blasting/excavation. Additionally, traffic will be reduced to one lane in both directions at the intersection of SR 109 and Callis Road for construction of turn lane and crossover.

 

 

Motorists are encouraged to use caution and obey reduced speed limits in all TDOT work zones, regardless of lane closure activity.  Information in this report is provided to the Department of Transportation by the contractors.  Most work is weather dependent and subject to change due to inclement weather.
