TDOT Construction Lane Closure Report for Middle Tennessee, August 29-September 4, 2019

The Tennessee Department of Transportation will halt all lane closure activity on interstates and state highways for the Labor Day holiday travel period.  Construction crews will stop all lane closure activity beginning at noon on Friday, August 30 through 6:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 3.  This will provide maximum roadway capacity for motorists traveling during the busy Labor Day holiday.

 

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Interstate 440 Reconstruction

·         Daily, 9AM-3PM, There will be a right lane closure on SR 6 (Franklin Pike southbound) at LM 5.5 for bridge work.

·         Daily, 9PM-5AM, There will be lane closures and temporary ramp closures at the I-440 and I-65 interchange Additionally, there will be lane closures between I-40 and I-65 for paving operations and overhead signage. At least one lane will remain open in both directions.

·         Starting the week of August 12 - The contractor will begin shifting traffic to the inside lanes to reconstruct the outside travel lanes. The traffic shifts will continue in different areas of the project until the end of September.

o    Starting the week of September 3 – The contractor will begin shifting traffic to the inside lanes between I-40 and West End Avenue.

o    Starting September 10 – The contractor will begin shifting traffic to the inside lanes between I-65 and Winford Avenue.

·         From now through August 2020, I-440 will be restricted to two travel lanes in each direction from 5AM-9PM and one travel lane in each direction from 9PM-5AM.

 

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Interchange improvements on I-24 at Hickory Hollow Parkway

·         Nightly, 8PM-5AM, There will be lane closures on I-24 eastbound from Bell Road to Old Hickory Blvd. for clean-up. Two lanes will remain open at all times.

·         Starting Tuesday, September 3, 2019 through February 2020, The I-24 westbound off-ramp at Hickory Hollow will be shut down to reconstruct the ramp.

 

DAVIDSON COUNTY, ITS Upgrades in Davidson and Rutherford County (MM 55-66)

·         Tuesday, September 3 through Thursday, September 5, 8PM-5AM, There will be lane closures on I-24 westbound from Haywood Lane to Briley Pwky for moving barrier rail.

·         Nightly, 8PM-5AM, There will be lane closures for attenuator repair on I-24 westbound at Briley Parkway and I-24 eastbound at Harding Place.

 

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Intersection improvements on US 31A at Welshwood Drive (LM 7.24) and resurfacing from Swiss Drive (LM 4.24) at Elysian Fields Rd (LM 7.52)

·         Nightly (excluding Saturdays), 8PM-5AM, There will be nightly lane closures on Nolensville Road in both directions from Harding Place to Elysian Fields for thermoplastic and punch list items.

 

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Resurfacing on US 70 (SR 1) from the Cheatham County line (LM 0) to south of Harpeth Valley Road (LM 5.19)

·         Daily, 9AM-3PM, There will be temporary lane closure for guardrail installation. At least one lane will be open at all times.

 

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Hillwood Blvd Bridge Replacement

·         Daily, 9AM-3PM, There will be a lane closure as needed from SR 1 to Post Road for bridge replacement work.  

 

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Resurfacing on US 70 (SR 1) from the Cheatham County line (LM 0) to south of Harpeth Valley Road (LM 5.19)

·         Daily, 9AM-3:30PM, There will be temporary lane closure for guardrail installation and paving. At least one lane will be open at all times.

 

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Resurfacing on SR 12 from  near SR 112 (LM 4.62) to south of Industrial Parkway (LM 6.22)

·         Daily, 9AM-2:30PM (excluding Sundays), There will be alternating lane closures on SR 12 (Ashland City Highway) for paving and striping between SR 112 and Industrial Parkway.

 

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Resurfacing on SR 100 from Temple Rd (LM 6.00) to Old Hickory Blvd (LM 8.26) and from Old Hickory Blvd (LM 8.26) to Heady Dr (LM 12.08)

·         Nightly, 8PM-6AM and Daily 9AM-3PM, There will a lane closure for milling and installation of loops.

 

HICKMAN COUNTY, The Bridge replacement on I-40 (MM 152) over SR 230

·         Thursday, August 29, 7PM-6AM, There will be a temporary lane closure on I-40 in both directions in order to grind and groove the bridge.

 

MACON COUNTY, Resurfacing on SR 10 from south of Ellington Drive (LM 8.88) to KY state line (LM 16.89)

·         Daily, 6AM-6PM, There will be temporary lane closures on SR 10 in both directions for paving activities. One lane will remain open.

 

MACON COUNTY, Safety Improvements on SR 52 from SR 141 (LM 3.06) to Old Highway 52 (LM 3.39)

·         Daily, 6AM-6PM, There will be alternating lanes closures on SR 52 in both directions for paving and pavement marking activities. One lane will remain open.

 

MAURY COUNTY, Resurfacing SR-50 from Hampshire Pike to West 7th Street

·         Daily, 9AM-3:30PM, There will be temporary lane closures on SR-50 for resurfacing activates.

 

MAURY COUNTY, City of Columbia West 7th Multimodal Streetscape

·         Daily, 7AM-5PM, There will be temporary lane closures on SR 99 between MM 16.40-16.80 in the westbound lane to rehab curb, gutter, and sidewalk area.

 

MAURY COUNTY, Widening of Duplex Road from US 31 to Secluded Lane

·         Daily, 9AM-3:30PM, There will be temporary lane closures on SR 247 for road widening.

 

ROBERTSON COUNTY, Bridge Replacements on SR 49

·         Look Ahead – Friday, September 6 at 8PM through Monday, September 9, 5AM, There will be a weekend road closure on SR 49 at the Miller Creek bridge.

 

ROBERTSON and SUMNER COUNTY, S.I.A. Serving Project "Deepdish"

·         Daily, 9AM-3PM, There will be temporary lane closures on SR 52 and US 31W for phase 2 construction activities. One lane will remain open.

 

RUTHERFORD COUNTY, The Resurfacing of I-24 from the Davidson County line to the Rocky Fork Overpass

·         Nightly, 8PM-5AM (excluding Saturdays), There will be alternating lane closures on I-24 in both directions between MM 64-69 for milling and paving.

 

RUTHERFORD COUNTY, The Resurfacing of SR 10 (US 231) from Tiger Hill to North of Rutherford Blvd

·         Nightly, 8PM-5AM, There will be alternating lane closures on SR 10 between MM 8.67-12.08 in both directions for construction activities. One lane will remain open at all times.

 

RUTHERFORD COUNTY, The resurfacing on SR 102 from north of Mercedes Drive to the bridge over Olive Branch

·         Nightly 8PM-5AM and Daily 8:30AM-2:30PM (excluding weekends), There will be alternating lane closures on SR 102 for guardrail, milling and paving operations. There will be a combination of lane closures and flagging operations.

 

SMITH COUNTY, The repair of the I-40 WB bridge over Caney Fork River at M.M. 263.1 (L.M. 12.99)

·         Nightly, 7PM-5AM, I-40 westbound will be down to one lane for milling and paving operations at MM 263. One westbound lane will remain open.

 

SMITH COUNTY, Resurfacing S.R. 96 from the Putnam County Line (L.M. 0.00) to the Putnam County Line (L.M. 0.660)

·         Daily, 9AM-3:30PM, There will be temporary lane closures on SR 96 in both directions for paving activities. One lane will remain open.

 

SMITH COUNTY, Resurfacing on SR 53 from SR 141/SR 264 (LM 11.04) to US 70N (SR 24) (LM 15.66)

·         Daily, 9AM-3:30PM, There will be temporary lane closures on SR 53 in both directions for paving activities. One lane will remain open.

 

SUMNER COUNTY, Resurfacing on SR 6 from north of Alexander Lane (LM 22.40) to south of SR 376 (LM 26.79)

·         Daily, 6AM-6PM, There will be temporary lane closures on SR 6 in both directions for paving work. One lane will remain open.

 

SUMNER COUNTY, Resurfacing of S.R. 25 from S.R. 109 (L.M. 12.95) to Kraft Street (L.M. 15.98)

·         Nightly, 8PM-5AM, There will be temporary lane closures on SR 25 in both directions for curb ramp repair activities. One lane will remain open.

 

SUMNER COUNTY, Resurfacing from SR 52 (LM 29.66) to Kentucky State Line (LM 39.68)

·         Daily, 6AM-6PM, There will be temporary lane closures on SR 174 in both directions for de-grassing and milling activities. One lane will remain open.

 

TROUSDALE COUNTY, Resurfacing SR 10 from SR 25 (LM 14.95) to the Macon County Line (LM 19.63)

·         Daily, 6AM-6PM, There will be temporary lane closures on SR 10 in both directions for paving activities. One lane will remain open.

 

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Grading, drainage, and paving on SR 11 at the intersection of SR 96 in Triune

·         Daily, 8AM-4PM and Nightly 8PM-5AM, There will be a lane closure on SR11 northbound and SR 96 westbound (MM 23.40-23.76) for construction activities.

 

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Grading, Drainage, and Paving Work on SR 6 (Franklin Road) from south of Moore's Lane (LM 15.93) to Concord Road (18.53)

·         Look Ahead – Starting September 9 through September 25, 6PM-6AM,  There will be a lane closure on Franklin Road for water line installation at the Holly Tree Gap intersection. There will also be a lane closure on Holly Tree Gap Road. Traffic will be flagged.

 

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Resurfacing on I-840 near Campbell Road (LM 26) to west of the bridge over the Harpeth River (LM 33.05)

·         Nightly, 8PM-5AM, There will be a nightly lane closure in both directions for milling and paving. One lane will remain open.

 

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Construction of Mack Hatcher (SR 392) Northwest Quadrant

·         Daily, 9AM-3PM, There will be a temporary lane closure of the southbound right lane of Hillsboro Road at the entrance to Rebel Meadows (LM 16.2-LM 16.4).

 

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Resurfacing on SR 46 from north of Settlers Court (LM 5.46) to near Natchez Trace Parkway (LM 12)

·         Daily, 9AM-3PM, There will be a lane closure for signage and guardrail. At least one lane will remain open.

 

WILSON COUNTY, The grading, drainage, construction of a concrete I-beam bridge, retaining walls, an paving on I-40 from east of SR-109 to east of I-840

·         Daily, 7AM-5PM, Traffic will be shifted on the ramp from I-840 EB to I-40 EB in order to construct a temporary ramp.

 

WILSON COUNTY, I-840 Resurfacing from north of the Rutherford County line to east of Stewarts Ferry Pike

·         Nightly, 8PM-5AM, There will be alternating lane closures on I-840 (MM 65-71) in both directions for paving operations. One lane will remain open at all times.

 

WILSON COUNTY, Widening on SR 141 from South of Spring Creek to North of Lovers Lane

·         Daily, 6AM-6PM, There will be a temporary lane closure on SR 141 for construction activities. One lane will remain open in each direction.

 

WILSON COUNTY, Bridge Repair on SR 26 over Sinking Creek

·         Through December 2019, SR 26 will be down to one 10' lane in each direction on the bridge over Sinking Creek. One lane will be open in each direction.

 

WILSON COUNTY, Resurfacing from US 70 (SR 24) (LM 18) to the Smith County Line (LM 27.73)

·         Weekdays, 9AM-3:30PM, Weekends, 6:30AM-6:30PM There will be temporary lane closures on SR 24 in both directions for paving activities. One lane will remain open.

 

WILSON COUNTY, Resurfacing SR 141 from East of Stokes Street (LM 10.54) to Sugar Flat Road (LM 14.59)

·         Weekdays, 9AM-3:30PM, Weekends 6:30AM-6:30PM, There will be temporary lane closures on SR 141 in both directions for striping activities. One lane will remain open.

 

WILSON COUNTY, Resurfacing on SR 171 from North of SR 265 (LM 3.9) to Belinda City Parkway (LM 4.56)

·         Nightly, 8PM-6AM, There will be temporary lane closures on SR 171 in both directions for milling and paving activities. One lane will remain open.

·         Daily, 9AM-3PM, There will be rolling roadblocks on I-65 northbound between MM 92 and MM 95 for blasting.

·         Tuesday September 3 and Wednesday September 4, 9AM-3PM, There will be a lane closure at 7954, 7996, and 7638 River Road for culvert installation.
