The refuge is located at Lat: 36.08840 Long: -88.56346 

The WMA is only open during daylight hours to foot traffic when gates are closed. Entrance gates will be open during hunting seasons, but may be closed without prior notice for safety and management reasons.  The refuge is closed to all forms of use and trespass from November 15, 2024 until the last day in February 2025. Please note Hunting Seasons.   Access is free however hunting, fishing, or recreational licensing fees may apply.

Jarrell Switch Refuge is located in Carroll County Tennessee near McKenzie on the Obion River.  The approximately 250-acre refuge consists of a mixture of upland forest, including a pine planting, bottomland hardwood forest, and cypress/tupelo swamp.  Many species of birds, amphibians, and reptiles may be observed at various times of the year.

CWD Carcass Transportation Regulations Apply

Big Game and Small Game are the same as statewide seasons.

Fall Turkey - Closed.

Spring Turkey - One (1) non-quota hunt: April 12 – May 4, 2025. One (1) male bearded turkey, counts toward statewide bag limit.

Turkey (Young Sportsman) - Same as statewide season.

Waterfowl - Closed.
