Vocational Rehabilitation

Vocational Rehabilitation helps people with disabilities enter, maintain, or return to employment.

The Division of Rehabilitation Services (DRS) provides employment services for those with disabilities, including those diagnosed with a mental illness or co-occurring disorder.

Employment services available are:

  • vocational assessment
  • career planning
  • job readiness training
  • job development
  • job skills counseling
  • supported employment
  • job coaching

To be eligible for the Vocational Rehabilitation program, you must have a physical or mental impairment that makes it difficult for you to find or keep a job. Eligibility is also determined by medical examinations, psychological examinations, vocational evaluations, and other diagnostic information.
