Hundreds of people from across Nashville came together to remember the victims killed at the Tree of Life Congregation Synagogue in a mass shooting in Pittsburgh.

The community memorial service was held at the Temple Congregation Obahai in Belle Meade Monday evening.  Worshipers from all faiths gathered to stand in solidarity with the Jewish community.  Several Rabbis’ spoke to the visibly emotional crowd praying for the day all humans can live in a world of love and peace.

“We will fight hatred with love and fight evil with goodness” said Rabbi Yizchok Teichtel during his message to the crowd. The memorial service was filled with song and prayer.

Eleven candles were lit honoring and memorializing the lives lost in Pittsburgh.
