TEMA Certifies Knox County Rural Metro Fire Department in Hazardous Materials Response

NASHVILLE, Tenn. –Tennessee Emergency Management Agency (TEMA) Director Patrick Sheehan announced today the Rural Metro Fire Department of Knox County has received certification as a Type Two Hazardous Materials Response Team, a designation that shows Rural Metro has the capabilities, resources, and trained personnel in place to protect people and property from the dangers of incidents involving dangerous and lethal chemical materials.
