Friday, May 10, 2024 | 04:35pmSeveral rounds of significant severe weather impacted Tennessee on Wednesday, May 8, 2024. At this time, affected counties include Cannon, Carroll, Cheatham, Giles, Lincoln, Maury, Robertson, Rutherford, Smith, Sumner, Warren, Weakley, and Wilson counties. TEMA has deployed personnel at the request of the counties and is coordinating with local officials to assess damages and ensure life-safety needs are met. The National Weather Service (NWS) continues to survey the impacted areas for potential tornadoes. NWS has confirmed an EF-2 in Giles County, an EF-3 tornado in Maury County, an EF-1 in Robertson County, and an EF-0 in Rutherford County.

This notice applies to Individual Assistance (IA), Public Assistance (PA), and Hazard Mitigation Grant Program (HMGP) implemented under the authority of the Robert T. Stafford Disaster Relief and Emergency Assistance Act, 42 U.S.C. §§ 5121-5207 (Stafford Act). This public notice concerns activities which may affect historic properties, activities located in or affecting wetland areas and the 100-year floodplain, and activities which may involve critical actions within the 500-year floodplain. Such activities may adversely affect the historic property, floodplain, or wetland, or may result in continuing vulnerability to flood damage.
