Ellington Agricultural Center Trails

Located in the heart of a Nashville suburb is an oasis of wild America, a rich tapestry of woodlands, meadows and hedgerows woven around the flow of Sevenmile Creek. This unique resource is preserved and protected as part of the Department's Watershed Initiative for its esthetic values, and to serve as a living laboratory for resource conservation.

In addition to the natural areas, the trail system also highlights cutting edge, low impact management practices which are being implemented throughout the developed parts of the Ellington Campus.  EAC's diverse topography along with its extensive riparian zone make it ideally suited for a variety of projects such as rain gardens and replantings.  As a steward of an important water feature, the Department is devoted to improving our community and setting the proper tone for our outreach.
