Some of TDEC’s partners in promoting energy efficiency in water and wastewater treatment facilities include the Tennessee Association of Utility Districts, Municipal Technical Advisory Service through University of Tennessee, Tennessee Technological University Industrial Assessment Centers, and the EPA.

Tennessee Association of Utility Districts

The mission of TAUD is to provide quality technical, legal, and operational support to assist its members in delivering safe and efficient services in the public interest. TAUD provides on-site technical assistance through circuit riders, which serve different regions in the state, related to water and wastewater operations.

University of Tennessee – Municipal Technical Advisory Service (MTAS)

MTAS is an institute of public service attached to the University of Tennessee that provides technical assistance, including on-site assistance, related to water and wastewater operations.
 
Tennessee Industrial Assessment Centers

Tennessee’s Technological University Industrial Assessment Center (TT-IAC), operated out of Tennessee Technological University and sponsored by the U.S. Department of Energy, provides free energy, productivity, and waste assessments to small and medium sized industrial facilities.
