About the event
The parlor at Cragfont was once a hub of enlightened discourse on politics, fashion, literature, and all the important topics of the early 19th century.
Join us as we bring the parlor back to life with educational and entertaining discussions led by local historians.
Next in our Fall series of Parlor Talks is Lingering on a Forlorn Hope: Disease & Medicine in the 19th-Century presented by historian Ashley White. Utilizing letters and documents from the Wynne and Winchester families and medical artifacts, Ashley will share her research into the diseases that threatened early 19th-century Americans and the medicine used to treat them.
