Cragfont State Historic Site 200 Cragfont Road Castalian Springs, TN 37031
About the event
The parlor at Cragfont was once a hub of enlightened discourse on politics, fashion, literature, and all the important topics of the early 19th century.
Join us as we bring the parlor back to life with educational and entertaining discussions led by local historians.
Our Fall series of Parlor Talks begins with Tennessee State Park Ranger, Bobby Cooley and a discussion of early 19th century Tennessee Tobacco Markets, like the ones at Cairo and Port Royal. Ranger Cooley will share information gained from the Winchester family's archives and paint a picture of the tobacco trade of early Middle Tennessee and how that product shaped settlement and town-building.
