About this event

The parlor at Cragfont was once a hub of enlightened discourse on politics, fashion, literature, and all the important topics of the early 19th century.

Join us as we bring the parlor back to life with educational and entertaining discussions led by local historians.

We welcome back Parlor Talks this spring with a deep dive into 19th century store ledgers. Amanda Smith, Scholar in Residence at Port Royal State Park, will discuss her research into 19th century store ledgers from the town of Port Royal, Tennessee and how they might help us understand more about the people, places, and spaces of Middle Tennessee. Join us for Learning From Ledgers: What 19th Century Ledgers Can Tell Us About the Past on May 21st at 4 PM at Cragfont State Historic Site.

Space is extremely limited so registration is required.
