About this event

The Chester Inn is kicking off summer with a look at a well-known beverage with regional ties: Mountain Dew!

Join speaker Spenser Brenner on June 20th at 6:30 pm for his presentation: “It’ll Tickle Your Innards: The History and Origins of Mountain Dew.” In this presentation Spenser Brenner, exhibition coordinator at ETSU’s Reece Museum, will dive into the history of the soda, it’s complicated and debated origins, and its cultural impact on the region. Utilizing research from the Reece Museum’s vast collection of Mountain Dew artifacts, Brenner will highlight the many people and places involved in the creation of today’s fourth most popular carbonated soft drink in the world. This program will be in the board room of the Chester Inn Museum in Jonesborough, TN. A live stream will also be available on the Chester Inn Museum’s Facebook page. The program is free and open to the public!
