Title VI Compliance Training

The Tennessee Human Rights Commission will host the 2023 Title VI Compliance Training on Wednesday, August 9 and Thursday, August 10. Each day will take place from 9:00am - 12:00pm CDT. The training is mandatory and free for all Title VI Coordinators in the State of Tennessee. Attendees have the option to attend in-person or virtually. The in-person training will take place in Conference Rooms A & C at the Tennessee Tower, 312 Rosa L. Parks Ave, Nashville, TN, 37243. In-person attendance is limited and snacks & refreshments will be provided. The virtual training take place via Webex.

The first day of training, on Wednesday, August 9, will feature:

·        Background on the Title VI statute and TN law

·        Overview of discriminatory practices under Title VI

·        Role of THRC and responsibilities of Title VI Coordinators

The second day of training, on Thursday, August 10, will feature:

·        Implementation Plan (IP) guidelines

·        Overview of THRC IP review process
