The state of Tennessee has job possibilities across multiple counties, career development/training offerings, and excellent health, financial planning, and wellness benefits. Disability Mentoring Day is an opportunity for middle Tennessee students and job seekers with disabilities to explore opportunities and the advantages of a career with Tennessee State Government.
During this event, participants will learn about opportunities in State Government, and hear from several departments about what they do and the departmental disability inclusion efforts. This is a great chance to explore different job and internship opportunities, while also learning about employee benefits, LinkedIn Tips, appropriate dress, and workplace etiquette.
Disability Mentoring Day 2023 will be held at TRC Smyrna, a Tennessee Department of Human Services training center that provides career and technical education to prepare individuals with disabilities for greater independence and competitive integrated employment in their local communities.
