The annual Summer Summit brings together the Tennessee Department of Human Services, Tennessee Department of Education, United States
Department of Agriculture Food and Nutrition Service, food program sponsors, community organizations, and national, state, and local thought leaders on food insecurity and food access. During the Summit, participants and attendees will focus on how the Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) will provide meals to school-age children during the 2024 summer months when the National School Lunch Program is unavailable.

The SFSP is made possible through partnerships with community organizations that sponsor and provide meals using funding available through TDHS. The Summit is a great opportunity for community organizations and nonprofits to learn about sponsorship and join the fight against hunger.
