CCDF State Plan 2025-2027

The Child Care and Development Fund (CCDF) provides funding to State Lead Agencies to offer services to families with low-income through subsidized child care, to implement activities and services to improve the quality and availability of child care, and to oversee the regulation of child care agencies throughout the state. Services are provided either directly by the state or through contracts with local governments and non-profit agencies.

The Tennessee Department of Human Services (TDHS), as CCDF Lead Agency, has begun the process of developing the next CCDF State Plan for the 2025-2027 Plan Cycle. The State Plan is due to the Administration for Children and Families, Office of Child Care by June 30, 2024. The development process includes collecting input from partners/stakeholders as we work toward goals of improving quality, increasing access and affordability, and strengthening our early child and education ecosystem.

Tennessee CCDF State Plan 2025-2027 Public Hearings

TDHS Child Care Services Program will conduct two (2) public hearings (via WebEx) to receive comments on the state's proposed Child Care and Development Fund Plan to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Administration for Children and Families for funding the Federal Fiscal Years 2025-2027.

How to Submit Comments

TDHS has developed a method for you to submit comments in a centralized location to ensure all voices are heard. Comments on the proposed draft of the CCDF State Plan will be accepted until 5:00PM Central Time on May 28, 2024 at: https://stateoftennessee.formstack.com/forms/ccdf2025_2027_draft_comments.
