Site Directions:  if you are coming from Brownsville, Tennessee, head north on Hwy 54 for 9.5 miles, and the parking lot and boat ramp are located on the left.  Lat. 35.7186 N, Long. 89.2128

The WMA is open year-round, during daylight hours, please note hunting seasons. General access to the WMA is free however,  hunting, fishing, or recreational license fees may apply.

This North Haywood County Tennessee WMA is located along the South Fork of the Forked Deer River, off Hwy 54.  The area consists of approximately 1,570 acres of mostly wetlands and bottomland forests.  These areas provide excellent habitat for wetland animal species such as Wood Ducks.

CWD Carcass Transportation Regulations Apply

Big Game, Small Game, and Trapping - are the same as statewide seasons, except as noted.

Deer - open for August Archery Deer Hunt.

Fall Turkey - Closed.

Spring Turkey – One non-quota hunt: April 12 - May 4, 2025. One male bearded turkey, counts toward the statewide bag limit.

Turkey (Young Sportsman) – Same as statewide season.
