The Elevator & Amusement Device Safety Board will meet on Tuesday, March 13, 2018 at 9:00 A.M. (CST). The meeting will be held at the office of the Department of Labor and Workforce Development located at 220 French Landing Drive, Nashville, Tennessee 37243. The TOSHA Room on the 1st Floor will be utilized.

The Medical Payment Committee is comprised of seven voting members appointed by the administrator. Three members represent the medical provider industry, three members represent the workers’ compensation insurance industry, and the medical director serves as the final member of the committee. The committee shall hear disputes on medical bill payments between providers and insurers and advise the administrator on issues relating to the medical fee schedule and medical care cost containment in the workers’ compensation system.

The Board of Boiler Rules will meet on Wednesday, March 21, 2018, at 9:00 A.M. (CST). The meeting will be held at the office of the Department of Labor and Workforce Development located at 220 French Landing Drive, Nashville, Tennessee 37243. The TOSHA Hearing Room on the 1st Floor will be utilized.

The Tennessee Bureau of Workers’ Compensation and the International Workers’ Compensation Foundation are jointly sponsoring a special educational conference for physicians and attorneys focusing on medical topics of particular importance to physicians, attorneys, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and medical and administrative staff. The conference is directed to physicians, attorneys, medical and administrative staff and other professionals who are interested in medical determinations involving Tennessee Workers’ Compensation claims. Registration is open for the conference which will be conducted Saturday March 24, 2018 at the Sheraton Music City. A block of rooms has been reserved at the conference hotel at the rate of $162, available 3 days prior and post based on availability. Rooms will be held through February 23, 2018, unless this block becomes fully reserved prior to this date and may be reserved here.
