Tennessee Highway Patrol Seeks Public Assistance
Sunday, June 30, 2024 | 05:27pmOn June 30m at approximately 6:15 a.m. while on patrol in Smith County at the Buffalo Valley Rest Area on I-40, Tennessee Highway Patrol (THP) Troopers were investigating a suspicious vehicle parked at the rest area. A trooper approached the vehicle and observed a male and female sleeping inside the vehicle. During the investigation, the trooper confirmed by a V.I.N. check that the vehicle was stolen.

Oversized Load to Move Through East Tennessee

Beginning on Sunday evening, June 30, an oversized load currently on US 27 in Morgan County will begin to be moved to Sullivan County. This transport will take place nightly between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. on Sunday, June 30 and Monday, July 1.
