Course Description
This course is designed for public sector personnel who have or may have responsibilities for managing information technology (IT) and services during incidents or events organized under the Incident Command System. These are commonly individuals with professional IT responsibilities in large municipal, county, state, or Federal agencies. Persons supporting incident management teams, unified command structures, and multi-agency event planning will find the training most useful.
Applicants with a public safety background and experience supporting information technology during incidents will be given preference.
Prerequisites for attendance include:
- IS-100, Introduction to the ICS
- IS-200, ICS for Single Resources and Initial Incidents
- IS-700, National Incident Management System (NIMS), an Introduction
- IS-800, National Response Framework (NRF)
- ICS-300, Intermediate Incident Command System (ICS) for Expanding Incidents
Also recommended but not required:
ICS-400, Advanced ICS Command and General Staff – Complex Incidents
