Free Day

In order to honor the veterans of this state and encourage the use of natural parks across Tennessee, the Department of Environment and Conservation shall designate one (1) day per year during which access to and use of all state parks, including, but not limited to, campgrounds and golf courses, shall be free of charge for all veterans. Each veteran shall be required to show proof of veteran status, prior to being granted free admission to any state park.

CAMPING & GOLF GREEN FEES

Tennessee State Parks is proud to celebrate all branches of service and offer a "Salute to Service" with complimentary camping and golf to veterans on each service branch birthday leading up to the 250th Anniversary of the United States of America. All veterans of any service branch are eligible for a complimentary one-night camping stay and waived green fees on the following dates:

DOCUMENTATION

Proof of both Tennessee residency along with proof of veterans’ status should be secured. When proof of eligibility is verified, notation of the form of documentation, i.e. DD214, VA benefit card, TN drivers’ license, etc, should be entered on the receipt, folio, or registration screen applicable to the operation.
