What is this procurement for a new claims management system all about?
TDVS released a Request for Proposals (RFP) on May 28th, 2024, to solicit a potential replacement for VetraSpec, the current claims management system.

TDVS’s goal is to find a system that enhances the processing of Veterans Affairs claims and appeals. The selection process will adhere strictly to state procurement laws to ensure transparency and fairness.

The decision to replace VetraSpec follows a review process started in April 2022, led by a working group of State and County Veteran Service Officers. VSO/CSO user recommendations have shaped the criteria for the RFP.

Benefits Bulletin 23-7 contained an update of the group’s work.

Key areas of improvement include:
• Integration with existing databases and platforms for streamlined processes.
• Enhanced data collection, analysis, and reporting capabilities to support data-driven decision-making.
• Improved customer relationship management tools to better engage with veterans and personalize the service experience.

Where is the RFP posted?
The RFP is posted on the Tennessee Department of General Services Request for Proposals (RFP) Opportunities website.
