Tennessee Business Solutions Methodology (TBSM)
The Tennessee Business Solutions Methodology (TBSM) is a documented methodology for information technology projects. This methodology has been developed to meet the needs of the various state agencies and organizations, provide for the required oversight, and to be consistent with A Guide to Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK®) and the Business Analysis Body of Knowledge (BABOK®). It is recognized that this methodology must be scalable to meet the requirements of various sized projects in all agencies.
The primary purpose of this site is to describe the framework that is used by the State of Tennessee in initiating, planning, executing, monitoring and controlling, and closing successful IT projects. The project phases below provide links to templates that are used in support of this methodology.

Project Execution Phase
Purpose: Management of the project resources so that the objectives, as defined in the Project Management Plan, are obtained.
Major Deliverable: Updated Project Management Plan
Project Monitor and Control Phase
Purpose: Observation of project processes to identify potential issues and apply corrective actions with timeliness and accuracy. Monitoring & Controlling activities occur throughout the project lifecycle.
